up to 84m with escalator. Absolutely ridiculous
I agree, but our front office needs to be patient.I don't think we're bad with cap. We've been extremely unfortunate with Big names earning deals and then getting hurt(or punching people). Need to keep Mark in insulin infused bubble wrap this offseason.
where is that @JoeyFlex5 game day thread. We need to make one for FA.God fuck it all
Perhaps I wasn't clear enough.I'm highly confused by this response because this has almost nothing to do with what I wrote. I simply said that I agree a little bit more with Joey than Rossi on the discussion that Lamar's impending cap hit will have an effect on the "window" for winning a superbowl. My statement ended there.
I agree with others on Twitter though. I want to see the details.up to 84m with escalator. Absolutely ridiculous
I think the bigger issue with the Ravens post-SB was they paid a lot of money to keep guys at non-premium positions (e.g. Brandon Williams). We had some really good players but not the true game changers, and our success suffered because of that. I think we've seen a shift on that recently and hope that continues.
I agree, I do want to see the details. never can see if it's a bad deal or not based on average, but man the avg is more than I expected.I agree with others on Twitter though. I want to see the details.
I would bet his guaranteed money is well under $40M. I wouldn't be surprised if its like $30M or less.
Dolphins traded for La'El Collins.
This years offseason champs and it's only day 1.....not even
The DOLPHINS?! Are you fucking kidding me??? What was the deal breaker? A midround pick?Dolphins traded for La'El Collins.
Perhaps I wasn't clear enough.
My point is the window is open as long as Lamar continues to play well. I would argue not a whole lot else matters at that point. He's got weapons now, and he'll get an improved offensive line. Beyond that, there's not really much higher expectation from a roster construction standpoint for him not to win a SB.
If the concept is that his window is basically closed or will be closed very soon, then I don't really see a reason to invest significantly more in him or building a team around him at this point. I probably wouldn't even offer the extension then.
If I think paying him $45M a year is going to reduce his chances of winning SBs, then I shouldn't do it.
C market moving fast, but still no Bozeman
it may have rubbed off on some, but much more on other boards, ie RSR.exactly this - we saw lamar with a ravaged roster put us atop the AFC - and nothing to tell us that he wont be even better in the future, and it would be pretty hard for the team to regress and be worse than the team he had around him after everyone went down
i really think the media disrespect of lamar has rubbed off on some people here - they forget just how good he is and just how much he can carry the roster (and has carried the roster)
Wow I'm a fucking idiotThat's a fake bro
It's fake. I was too caught up in the moment. I'm a dumb@ss. Sorry everyoneI would’ve offered that for collins
