Lamar Jackson

Trying to be as accurate as I can here. It is clear that with Lamar as QB, Roman at OC, and the surrounding talent, more often than not, Lamar will only be at his best when his and the RB run game is established.
Well we have no elite receivers . Also Romans play calling in the first half was horrific

I thought it proved the opposite. If you rely on Lamar to throw the ball even against practice squad CBs, you are not going to succeed but if you lean on the run game and have Lamar passing it be the 3rd option then you can win. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for someone who wants a record deal.
His #1 and #2 is literally Robinson and Duvernay lol. Tom wasn't better tonight with Evans and Godwin.

Romans play calling was ass in the first half. No balance at all . Never tried to establish the run. You have a balanced attack and Lamar will throw tds . And he did .

Who are significantly better than practice squad players on TB and who got open. It does not matter whether they are a name or not, but what matter is whether you can get open. That is the important thing to note; they were open; the throws were there, but Lamar missed. Once they shifted towards more screen throws and more running with 1 or 2 downfield throws off of play action the offense looked better.

Again why are yall making it either or? Yes Roman sucks but adjusted the playcalling. And Lamar has been playing very very bad lately. It's both!
Lamar was bad in the first half but a lot of it was the play calling. The 2nd half had balanced play calling and boom Lamar throws TD passes .

There were 2 factors at play in that first half: Lamar was annoyed that they only threw it 16 times (despite him only competing 9) and the Buccs were missing their entire secondary. You would expect a top 10 QB to be able to pick that kind of defense apart so going into the game with the idea of leaning on Lamar was not a bad idea. The fact that he could not do that is actually more troubling. The receivers are not going to get better when Lamar is making 2.5x more than now so either he can make it work with what they have or the offense is going to struggle going forward after paying him.

I don't know how fans can consistently say guys are getting open without access to the All-22. We don't have a good enough view until the coach's film is released. I'm pretty sure Tom had open guys on some plays too. News flash, it happens a lot more often then people would think, every game it happens where a guy was open but didn't get the ball simply because he wasn't the first read. It's exceptionally difficult to find an open guy who isn't your first read.

Also, he made plenty of tight window throws tonight, that TD throw to Likely was an exceptional one that most guys can't even make. Of course he got into rythem with the short throws, what QB doesn't like those? Guys unamously prefer that over staying in the pocket and having to potentially take a lick. He wasn't perfect today, but he definitely played a good game.

The second half of the Bucs game has absolutely positively proved to us that while Lamar can be inconsistent it is really Roman’s play calling that is the problem
So we have to depend on a perfect game by our oc for our qb to perform? Its already been a few games where he called good ones and our qb failed to execute

The offensive philosophy is built around the run which includes Lamar. Whenever the Ravens deviate from that they play and look like trash. Sure, you have to mix in some passes to keep the defense honest but the reality is that the Ravens personnel is not geared towards a constant and consistent air attack first. No! That's a recipe for disaster! They have the personnel to run it down your throat, mix in some RPOs, Playaction, quick screens, jet sweeps, with an occasional deep shot here and there, etc., and THEN they are hard to figure out and stop in my view.

Here's the real story behind the sign. Lamar was heading to the locker room, a fan dropped it and Lamar picked it up to return it. He then asked the fan for a marker so he could sign the poster.

Im sure the picture will be used to demonize him but it does feel very iconic. Very Micheal Jordan esqe

I saw a few of those types of signs in the stands tonight.

All 22 on Prime vision last night.

This first half was turrible bad, like GTFO bad. Tampa’s secondary was depleted and the plan was to take advantage of that and we couldn’t.
In the second half after making that great run Lamar loosened up and played well. I really think for him he needs that part of his game to click to be confident passing.

It’s the tale of 2 Lamars.
Every player has bad games but not to this extent, especially not this often in their 5th year.
LJ has to get his head straight and find some consistency.
