When the Jets were winning a game or two, Main Jet "jumped out there" spouting off how much better Wilson was compared to Lamar. That didn't age too well. Those comments didn't age too well.
Honestly it’s insane how well they aged for us . He won’t be back unless we lose

1. If they traded away all those players and picks, they're not a SB ready team anymore, regardless of whether they had Mahomes or not.
2. They need to start over at QB, and this draft is a good place to do it. Unfortunately, they're winning just enough to make sure they don't have a top 10 pick.
Well I don’t mean it quite literally. Even said its overbord, no one is giving up that much.

That being said some times it involves a lot of luck. There’s a good deal of starting QBs that were picked late or took some seasoning and have been playing good Football. Jimmy G could be available, they might be able to get him without giving up much though a ton of teams could be hot on him.

Also wanted to say yeah, offense didn’t look good but I think Lamar actually played a really good game vs Carolina. That INT to the DL was unfortunate and a great play by the DL. Those are rare but can happen time to time.

A lot of his throws to Robinson were very well timed with great placement. He looked like he had played with him for years on Sunday. Even more impressive when you consider how windy and cold it was. Probably our first cold weather game of the year so it was really nice to see him play like that.

He’s become a complete QB this year. Hopefully we bring more reinforcements next year and be sure to integrate a more sophisticated offense into the system with more 11 personnel.

Anyone looking objectively at Watson’s deal realizes it was an aberration, a dumb deal inked by a dumb franchise.

If fully guaranteed contracts became the norm it would eventually spell the end of the NFL as we know it. I seriously doubt it happens.
Nah, if fully guaranteed contracts became normal we would just see a lot more short contracts (2 or 3 years).

Which is generally what players do not want. A lot of deals have the first 2 years guaranteed anyway but most players do not want to be negotiating a new deal every 2 years.

If Jimmy G is a FA, he'll get a decent deal from somebody.
Basically you'll pay Jimmy G at least what you're paying Lamar this year, which is around $25M. He won't cost $40-50M, but he'll cost significantly more than a rookie would too.

I don't think high-end QBs would have a problem with it. Their injury risk is considerably lower than most other positions, and they perpetually get to adjust their contracts for market value within 2-3 years.

That's why I always get a chuckle out of these guys who sign these 5-6 year deals and then hold out after year 2 or 3 for a new deal, because they're now below market value. OK, so just don't sign the 5-6 year deal.

And how would short contracts affect salary cap strategy?
Honestly wouldn't be that big of a change. Good teams try to front load contracts anyway unless it's really tight that year. And it might actually prevent cap hell since teams wouldn't be able to keep extending and pushing back the big number and suddenly have to pay off a bunch of players at once.

Without doing the research I can pretty much guarantee there is no big QB(and others as well) that doesn’t defer a major cap hit until at least 2 or 3 years into the contract. It allows not having to pay a bunch of players at once and to juggle needs with the draft, trades, etc..

A now 6+ week blip

Notable that this is the first time in recent years I can remember bills fans being unhappy with a coach/coordinator

Not many fans of Ken Dorsey right now
One of my friends, who is a Bills fan is extremely unhappy with Ken Dorsey. It's the same Bills fan that participates in the Forum Mock.

If Lamar was playing like Josh Allen has been in recent weeks, he'd be getting roasted constantly by the media. But for Allen, it's just a blip apparently.

Lamar had an awful month and pretty much nobody cared. Nobody worried about it, because he was obviously going to bounce back, but it was a terrible month and the media did not roast him at all. They did not go off on him. It was basically largely ignored because everyone knew it would pass. The same thing is true with Allen. No one is really worried about it because people have seen Allen at his best and assume this will pass.

Basically I just do not get the victim complex here. I know it is a common practice but Lamar and Josh Allen basically got the same treatment after having their rough patches.
