I’m not convinced of this. I think he had some issues getting back up to speed last year, but not sure he won’t still rebound. A guy with his ball hawking instincts can usually last a bit longer than others.
his injury made it very difficult to backpedal and JK Dobbins also said his issue prior to having the procedure was cutting backwards. I feel another year removed Peters will have a big rebound year.

Rumor is that he wants all play calling duties because he feels that’s what holding him back from a HC job. He’s not getting that in KC.
I’d be happy to give him full playing calling duties.

Trade Lamar to the Raiders. Take Josh McDaniels and Waller and 17 draft picks over the next 3 years. Done. ......almost, reunite Tom Brady with McDaniels in FA and we win the SuperBowl. And Tom Brady's legend grows into the only QB to guide 3 separate teams to the SB. Mic drop.

Ban this account now

Had to double back. Do you know how Raymond Lewis feels about that guy?

PIT OF MISERY FOR YOU

the thought is in serious consideration

Bienemy isn't going to get credit for the offense working under Reid, so it makes sense if he ever wants a chance as a head coach. His early troubles give me pause, but if can steal Andy Reid's playbook, he'll easily be our best since Kubiak.

And if he succeeds here and moves on, we'll get two 3rds for 'developing' him and Reid will get nothing, which is satisfyingly unfair.

Wow. This seems so odd to be considering a lateral move. Definitely something going on behind the scenes that are scaring teams away from making this guy a head coach. Maybe it really is all Reid with the play calling

Yeah. Think Kelce even slipped up and said Reid was calling the plays in a podcast. There’s red flags with him. How much of it is Andy Reid (I personally think most of it).. and then there’s him getting into Mahomes face on the sideline during a game.

I believe he’s open to lateral moves because he’s been on back-to-back 1-year contracts with the chiefs, always having to come back when those HC positions get filled up by others. So either he sucks at interviews or he tells em the truth and they see it’s all Reid lol

I still would rather have Brian Johnson. Maybe even Monken

yeah I’m not feeling EB at all for these reasons, everyone in mahomes gravity ended up getting big time jumps in position except for EB, he got a lot of media hype but it’s beared no results. Something stinks there, bad, and whatever the issue is it seems like it could be harmful to the offense and we can’t blow this hire.

Johnson and Monken are my guys as well, my gut says johnson but I’ve seen Monken actually call plays so my safe side says Monken. Both are personnel/Lamar fits, I’m worried monken might be a little too similar to Roman, Brian johnson might be the type of change we need to come in and shake it up with a fresh mind to bounce ideas back and forth with guys like Lamar and andrews, and coming from phillys offense he might have that modern approach we need.

Brian Johnson would be nice, but downside is it’s probably only a 1 to 2 year rental. If our offense does well, he’s gonna be a HC.

Monken, I can see him staying OC for awhile. Wade Philips type. Some coaches just made to be coordinators.

i was thinking the same thing about interviews. Some guys aren’t built for leadership spots of HC caliber. Nothing wrong with thriving as an OC, but clearly there are some red flags that have teams shying away .

I personally think EB’s issue getting hired as a Head Coach is his legal history. Especially if he doesn’t take accountability for these actions it could be enough to deter an owner from giving him the keys to the franchise. Check this out:

  • February 1998: According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Colorado police arrested Bieniemy and teammate Kanavis McGhee after a bar fight. Bieniemy was charged with disorderly conduct and fighting in public, but he pleaded no contest. He and McGhee received deferred sentences and performed court-mandated community service.
  • July 4, 1990: According to the Orlando Sentinel, Bienemy pleaded no contest after allegedly shoving a firefighter. The University of Colorado Boulder suspended Bieniemy for one game in the upcoming season.
  • September 1993: Colorado police arrested Bieniemy, then in the NFL. The Orlando Sentinel reports that Bieniemy allegedly grabbed a female parking attendant by the neck and threatened her. The University of Colorado Boulder banned Bieniemy from its campus for one year as a result.
  • April 2001: According to the Daily Bruin, Colorado police arrested Bieniemy on a DUI charge, three months after he joined the football staff as a running back coach. He previously had his driver’s license suspended after numerous violations.
  • Bieniemy was also linked to allegations that Colorado’s football program “used alcohol and sex to lure recruits.” ESPN reported in 2004 that the university discovered there was evidence of drugs and alcohol being used to “entice recruits,” but no university officials were guilty of misconduct.

I’m intrigued by Monken. He went from running a true spread offense when he was HC at Southern Miss, to what he’s been running at Georgia. The fact that he adapts to his personnel and believes in a balanced offense is key. He has called plays on the NFL level and in the SEC. I like him more than EB but I am still interested in Brian Johnson as well.
Bobby Slowik I’m interested to a lesser degree, he also was a PFF analyst and is climbing the ranks quickly but I think it might be too soon for him.

Monken just feels like a Harbaugh hire. Lol

This is true af which is the exact reason I’m concerned. I want NO PARTS of an OC that has a reason to stick around with harbaugh forever, fuck outta here with that. Give me every one year wonder you got at OC
I don't know if I agree with this. He runs a modern offense and doesn't pigeon hole his players into a specific scheme they aren't suited for.
Just because he's an older OC candidate and may never get a chance at head coach doesn't make him a Harbaugh hire.

Sometimes I don't get you guys. Not specifically at you two, but the boards and the fanbase. You either want someone who will be around or you don't want someone who is only going to be here for a year. Make up your minds.

Oh and just because we are interviewing him doesn't mean we are hiring him. We are doing our due diligence.

The situation changed so I want a drastically different approach. We are gonna need to be much more Lamar-centric than before if we give him a contract and I don’t want division because the OC has more pull than Lamar. That will happen with a firmly entrenched long term guy for harbaugh to tie himself at the hip to, the results of this exact thing have failed twice now, both with Cameron flacco, and now Roman Lamar.
