Lamar Jackson

Yeah they ain't gonna rush a decision on franchise QB just so they can spend some money in FA
You can have Lamar on the franchise tag with limited opportunities in free agency or you could get 3- 1st rounders ,a few players
and some high quality free agents.

What are you taking snowflake? I know what im taking after two straight injury marred seasons from Lamar.

I'm not doubting he may end up traded at some point, but they aren't rushing it just to be able to spend money in free agency.

Reports are Lamar was encouraged to provide input into the OC hire and declined.

Just another bad sign . If we put him on exclusive franchise tag , he's gone.

I think the Ravens have had enough and maybe Lamar feels the same way.

The odds are dropping fast Lamar will be a Raven next season.

where'd you see these reports?

IDK, if the FO feels it hinders their chances to compete I don't see them going down that path. If they did, what would that say to the other players and the rest of the organization? One player is more important than the team? Doesn't really make sense, especially considering the way they have done business in the past.

but it doesnt hinder their chances to compete vs not having lamar/trading lamar does it?
very few QBs are going to make a big enough impact in year 1 vs Lamar

most players are going to assume, regardless of capital, that Lamar gives them the best chance to win - if we extend him and make moves that help us be even more competitive then great

but the draft picks we get for Lamar are unlikely to have us anywhere close to the same level of competitive in 2023

where'd you see these reports?
From Bleacher Report : After parting with offensive coordinator Greg Roman in the offseason, the Ravens settled on Georgia's Todd Monken as his replacement. That hire isn't especially noteworthy. But Jackson's involvement in the search for Roman's successor is—or, more appropriately, his lack of involvement. Not sure what article it was

That’s hard to judge since we don’t don’t know who that would be and what other pieces might be added as a result.

The Ravens are sick IMO of this drama. I really do think they want him gone , no matter how good he is and he is a top 5 QB imo.

Just like the Packers are done with Rodgers.

well... exactly

vets arent going to assume some random rookies and street free agent cast offs are gonna make them better off than an elite QB

vets are gonna take certainty over uncertainty every single time

The 1st rounder that we pick up in the trade.

when was the last time a rookie starting QB won a superbowl... or even got to a superbowl?

and in an AFC with more and more superstars at QB to get past, no way any pro or vet (or basically anyone), thinks they have a better chance in 2023 with a rookie QB than with Lamar... whatever weapons we get alongside Lamar
