8-1....yes I'm counting next Thursday nightThe amount of Bengal fans that don’t realize Lamar is 7-1 against them is pretty amusing, they think all those games against Huntley was Lamar. Never seen anything like it

Wins aren’t a QB stat no more than they are a G stat.
What are stats are likely going to be padded getting to play Raiders, Commanders, Titans, and Bills. That means he will likely have all of the stats and win his division which makes him a front runner regardless of how good he is.
The stats do matter. If we were just going to pick the best QB and give them MVP we could save time and give Mahomes the next 10 before the season starts.
If Lamar wants to get a leg up in the race he needs to put together some great performances. So far, as there is 1 game left, we have seen 4 excellent/great QB games this week in Stroud, Dak, Burrow, and arguably Hurts (played against by far best defense of the 4 and carved them up for 3 quarters). Then you had about 6 good performances but good does not get you in the MVP conversation.
Exactly! We should already be the #1 seed in the AFC at this juncture. Hopefully, our boys can continue their reign of terror and extend their lead for the division against the Browns. I find it interesting that Lamar (w/Ravens) is 18-1 against NFC teams but I believe that is because they don't see him that much. These AFC teams? That's a different story. Hopefully, we get over these AFC hurdles (i.e., browns, bengals, and chargers) in their next 3 gm stretch.
shit....Bowser hasn't even started playing. Mike Macdonald is playing 6D ChessIf our defense can keep this up, then we are looking at a very serious super bowl contender. Getting pressure on 4 man rush and playing the style of coverage we do, interior pressure, great team tackling, we have a super bowl kind of defense, MAYBE even the kind of unit that could go deep even with a weak offense. These dudes are looking like one of the all time franchise great kinda units.
If we get hot on offense in January y’all look tf out I’m telling you. Especially the way our OL and Gus is playing late in games all of a sudden, that’s January football. Goddamn I hope we keep this going
Fuck the Eaglesim happy we play bengals, dolphins, niners during this stretch.. we will have basically seen almost every style of offense.. gonna need that for a playoff run. Other than bengals, no other team in afc scares me. Nfc got that almighty roster team in those eagles, now theyre a problem
Really hoping we blow them out, will be great and a huge statement because there’s still a lot of media heads that just don’t trust us but trust them and seem to just blatantly ignore the records when Lamar plays or they think we got blown out last year in the playoff game8-1....yes I'm counting next Thursday night
As long as you are one of the top teams that is good enough. Then the individual stats separate you. Hence why I listed the three in contention, not including players on bad teams, earlier and have Burrow as an outside chance to sneak in due to the field being fairly weak this year.Wins matter in the MVP discussion.
Wins are semi a QB stat, and Tua had the chance to make the game winning throw against the Chiefs but duck armed it by about 30 yards. Then be fumbled a fine snap where he had a WR breaking wide open over the middle. So he blew that chance to get that winWins aren’t a QB stat no more than they are a G stat.

In 2019 Lamar lead the league in TD passes, had the highest QBR in football, and rushed for 1200 yards. The stats helped him A LOT not to mention every week having a highlight reel play. None of that is happening this year. When people look at highlights of these games they are looking at either the defense or Mitchell making plays.
Basically right now if I were to rank the likelihood of MVP I would probably go in order: Mahomes (the default choice), Tua (has all the stats), then Lamar (best overall team but that doesn't always mean MVP as Hurts will tell you), and then keep an eye on Burrow who has been on fire the past month and could sneak back into it the last half of the year.
Oh Tua absolutely had an awful game but a couple bad games mixed in with a lot of great games is enough to win MVP. If they are a top 3 seed and Tua is at close to Peyton’s record for yards (which again they get some soft competition to do that to) Tua is a very strong front runner in a weak field.Wins are semi a QB stat, and Tua had the chance to make the game winning throw against the Chiefs but duck armed it by about 30 yards. If you are going to argue that he isn’t the best QB in the NFL (or even top 3-5) I would not disagree but again if MVP was simply best QB then give Mahomes the next 10 before the season starts. It generally goes to the QB with the most impressive stat line among the top teams.
Bye week 14 I think or 1st week of DecemberI thought we had a bye this week.
Browns and Bengals huh
They about to find out...Thread not up yet but a lot of chirping from Browns fans about not having played Watson, so let’s show them
Wins are 0 a QB stat. If you hear a pundit trying to use them as such, they either don’t understand enough to understand what is happening, or have an agenda and want to push it ignoring context. If wins were a WB Jimmy G is a HoF QB.Wins are semi a QB stat, and Tua had the chance to make the game winning throw against the Chiefs but duck armed it by about 30 yards. Not really. You are going to likely have a top 3 seed paired with the top of just about every stat and possibly breaking a record for yards. So he will have the record and the story. People like to be prisoners of the moment but none of the 4 I named are remotely out of it.MVP is a combination of the things discussed.
So again, Tua is out. It's not even close lol
Who really cares though. The prize you want is winning the tournament, not MVP.Yeah but he had like 40 total tds in '19, he only has like what 15 so far when the ravens are in the rz its going to be a run
Exactly. If Lamar does well, I'm not complaining. But frankly wins matters a lot more than his individual statsWho really cares though. The prize you want is winning the tournament, not MVP.
