Lamar may have needed to be educated a bit about pride and business decisions but he always protected himself and ran wisely and carefully. Dudes innate ability to protect himself is what has allowed him to progress so much because he isn’t losing all of his reps to injury.

I don’t think it’s ever been about Lamar protecting himself, I think it’s always been about the offense protecting Lamar, under Greg Roman that man would regularly have to run circles around the field just to not lose yardage.

Steve young is the player that Lamar most reminds me of. His passing is nothing like Michael Vick’s, frankly neither is his running.

The only reason people bring up Vick is because people choose to ignore the other half of Lamars game and only look at his running abilities.

I think some of the older fans say Vick because of skin color as well, but that's just what I've seen from a group of select individuals. I've noticed that some people are hesitant to compare a black QB to a white QB and V.V.

That has always played a factor when critiquing players sadly.

Of course he is but hes a better comparison than any of these black qbs that the media tried to compare him to. That's just a lazy comp.
