You don’t cut Lamar Jackson that’s obviously tongue in cheek but he has to play better. Mahomes did and it’s clear for us the Chiefs are our boogeyman.
yep

It's brady / Manning all over again

Mahomes / LJ

Has there honestly been "cut Lamar" talk. I have been pretty harsh on how he played but that is because when you are a 2x MVP the standard is higher than it is for say Brock Purdy. You have to be the difference maker when that is what you are and he did not have a good game by any standard. However I cannot imagine any serious talk about cutting him because of one bad game when he has been solid to great all year in every other game.
Not that I've seen. I just expected it. And I'm sure it's coming at some point.

much like the zay dive... it was a play that didnt have to be made - was not an all or nothing down or situation
he probably still would have made the first down or been close enough. If he stayed on his feet he may have been able to power himself into the endzone as well.

who are they not the boogeymen for?
bills feeling the same way last week
Yeah true but I think John Harbaugh has a hard time against Andy Reid. What’s his win loss record? I am not a fan of W/L but I think for HC it’s very applicable.

I think the H2H doesn't matter so much because a) its still a relatively small sample size (i.e. these two teams don't play each other twice a year) and b) you get different roster constructions throughout.

I honestly didn't think Andy Reid was particularly good yesterday either. I think their offense was good for about a quarter to a quarter and a half, but I saw nothing special from Reid in the second half or even in the later part of the first half. They basically just took check downs all game, and couldn't beat man coverage in the second half.

I think MM and Spagnuolo both had great days, and I think Reid and Monken didn't. And it came down to which QB/team made the bigger mistakes. And we did.

On offense we seemed to move away from our strengths and as a team they let Kelce get under their skin before the game even started. I know it's the pro's and these are grown men but Harbaugh should have called them together and told them to calm down and get focused because they were playing into the Chief's hands.

I’d like someone to do some analysis and see what we do against Reid teams. I may go and check if I ever have some time, I just feel like we play like this against his teams a lot whether they were Philly or KC.

There were discussions about it in pre-game. It basically was Mahomes vs Lamar mostly, but I think they're now like 4-1 against us in the Lamar/Mahomes era.

A lot of the discussion was Mahomes vs our defense. He had owned us previously. Think he had never had a game under like 320 yards passing or something like that against us, and his average was like 360. He had 240 yesterday.

It's spags one of the best coordinators in nfl history, but also funny how gro was actually effective against spags defenses, just a bad matchup which is why I preferred the bills

As for officiating, there were at least 3 potential DPI. I can actually understand people saying swallow the flag on the interception. That one wasn’t even the one that pissed me off. Likely and Beckham both had DPI but neither was called. Both I thought were pretty blatant too.

The one on likely I think you are referring to was an obvious hold or DPI, it was a strange point for the back judge to swallow his whistle. Just a bunch of strange calls throughout the game, like the 15 yarder on Ro.

There were discussions here before the game about the possibility of the Chiefs benefiting from officiating because of the head ref’s record supporting the away team. Consensus was that we would score enough points to where the inevitable bad calls wouldn’t mean anything.

This can't be you 6th year with that much time on the clock in a 10 point game and you fucking throw it into triple coverage. Even if you don't see the 3rd guy somehow he's still doubled. The zay at least has the excuse of being a rookie and trying to make something happen even if I believe theres no damn point in trying to dive.

The hold on Likely I just don't get. And like I said in another post even on the Zay TD there was a HUGE hold they didn't flag either.

Anyway. It seems like FO likes these small shifty guys but think it would do us good to go after at least 1 bigger framed wr.
