I still don't fully trust the defense. They have shown great improvement but how much is us or the competition. They've turned it around from a complete shit show but look at who we've played and when. A shut out is great but Texans haven't been great and had just lost their wr2. Steelers didn't have Pickens. Same for the OL.

That said we have a enough to get it done if everyone handles their business.
They've improved a bunch, but they aren't the 2000 or 2006 Ravens D. lol

We rolled through to a SB with a middling defense in 2012, no reason we can't do it with what we have now. I do think that there won't be much room for error though. We'll need to score TDs, not gonna win settling for FGs.

I've been trying to get people to understand this when it comes to Bateman. People love to glaze Bateman because of separation stats, but all Ravens receivers have good separation stats.

Lamar presents a very real threat with his legs, so teams are going to play a lot more zone than normal to keep the play in front of them and not get burned on scrambled. Zone coverage creates more windows and "higher separation."
I'm sure those stats have their place, but it's hard to take seriously when you have to say that Bateman has a great ass

Idk about KC being rusty after 23 days off. Andy Reid and Mahomes have done it plenty of times. Plus they play rusty about every week and still get it done so I don't have the confidence most of you have lol
Not really, 2019, 2021 and 2022 KC didn't rest starters, 2020 they had 21 days between games but they also got lucky that year and played the browns, 2023 they rested starters but did not have a wildcard bye

when they had pickens we only gave up 18 points and that was with a short field due to a fumble early in the game.

The Chargers are the only team that could do it

Divisional Fuckery… that’s a great way to put it. I agree that the Chargers could get us. Herbert can look the part at times and regardless it would be closer than I would like. As to the 23 days… the offense has sputtered and choked at times all year so we might not even notice a difference. That time will do nothing but make the defense stronger as they are starting to click.
yep, I agree, don't underestimate Spags.

Speaking of divisional fuckery, let's not play the Steelers or the Bengals in the playoffs. I know some of you are confident about going against the Steelers round 1, but I would prefer the Chargers honestly. The Steelers defense when healthy is probably the best defense in the playoffs. Ravens were lucky to be on the right side of the two previous matches against the Bengals. Neither of them sounds like an easy task.

I think this is correct;

If we win and Steelers lose, and Chargers win, we get the Steelers. We both win and Steelers go to Houston, we get the Chargers.
If we were to somehow lose Saturday and the Steelers win we would go to Houston.

I just liked a post from @Carptom1 , this means Lamar can also overcome his demons and win the Super Bowl this year.

@OURavensFan now don’t go soft on me.

I do agree with you about MVP. He is playing on his own level this year and nobody else is really close. The voters unfortunately are going to have a hard time giving him his third without Allen getting his first. But who knows.

Whether you believe me or not, if we lose to you I will pull for you guys to win. I am always AFC first and Lamar is too good to not get one.

That's all most asked for. Middle of the road defense should be able to get it done of the offense shows up. I know it's the Browns but would be great to go into playoffs seeing the run blocking we've seen the past few weeks.

I'm convinced that this is the inevitability.

I've been seeing so many posts on the net about the Giants ruining their franchise since they failed to get 1st overall in the draft. Too many believe that the top pick is a guaranteed franchise changer, and that you can't get that guy otherwise. The Jags have back to back first overall picks on their team, and have four wins this season.

Like one 1st overall in the last 5 drafts has actually been that kind of guy, Joe Burrow back in 2020. And honestly no qb in this draft looks like a second coming of Burrow.

not a great QB draft for teams to be tanking for

and often it doesnt work out that way anyway lol - bengals and dolphins were tanking for tua that year, burrow ended up being the clearest number 1 overall pick in a long time

there's apparently no burrow, lawrence, caleb williams type prospect to tank for

and in those classes, there were multiple highly rated QBs to go for also - ive not done my homework on any prospects this year but from what i've heard so far it could be a kenny pickett draft or maybe even a 2014 type qb draft (bortles, manziel, bridgewater, carr, garoppolo)

I used to fucking hate Burrow but Josh’s flopping and crying ass has slowly started to take his place

i have always said, if Joe Burrow played in the NFC i would like him a lot - i respect the way he plays

was kind of the same with mayfield too

2 guys with a little cocky streak but in a way that they were still respectful

since week 11, they've been an elite unit - a lot better than middling lol

Gerry Sandusky made an interesting note in the Steelers game, we are 6-0 in games where Bateman scores a td.

The forgotten man, they sell out to stop Lamar’s legs, Henry’s legs, zay, the TE game, but once the forgotten man makes the defense pay, they don’t know wtf to do anymore.

Chargers absolutely could upset KC, with KC being rusty and divisional fuckery going on. Your forgetting that 23 days without playing a game is a LONG time. And let's not forget that it took the chiefs blocking a kick to breat the broncos the first time, while it's unlikely the Broncos absolutely could pull of the upset and knock KC out
Kc true to this, not new to this.
