Won't happen the way Alex Collins is running the ball. The Ravens almost beat the Steelers who have the best record in the league while giving up almost 600 yards of offense.
Yes....while giving up almost 600 yards of offense.

So, you view a fan base that is extremely pissed off and venting because their team was up 11 pts on their most heated rivals....the steelers.....in Pittsburgh......late in the 4th Qrtr......knowing that their team SHOULD HAVE WON THAT GAME but only to watch helplessly as their defense struggled to get any thing resembling a pass rush, a CB get pissed on by their #1 receiver and LB's and Safeties giving up plays to raggedy TE's and TD's to unknown FB's and allowing them to clinch the AFC North at their teams expense in Prime Time as being "dramatic" and "depressing?"

The defensive performances was awful but again we stood toe to toe with one of the best if not the best offensive unit in the NFL all season we talked about how bad this offense is and they have seemed to hit there stride we are still holding a playoff spot and proved we can keep up with the best of them yeah it sucks we lost and it sucks they took the division but there is so much more to take from the game everyone acts like we are the Browns or something constantly saying we need to fire everyone and do all these crazy things when in reality we are a good football team things went wrong for the D one night oh well get over it it’s football it happens they have he #1 rusher and the #1 receiver in the NFL you’re delusional if you thought they weren’t going to get there’s

Not arguing with you but it obviously seems like you view our "standing toe to toe" with the Steelers as a good thing? A "moral victory" of some sorts? Not me! I see, a Ravens team that last season...got beat and kept out of the playoffs by the Steelers....in Pittsburgh after leading in that game. Only to lose in an eerily similar fashion to the same team, in the same location and in the same manner last night. Once again, with playoff implications. That's called a "pattern" man! It's delusion not to see that! And that's what bothers me!

I guess the way I see it is it could’ve went both way last night that’s not a bad team we faced we proved we can go toe to toe or what I mean is we could beat them a lot of teams can’t say that

And that is my point....as you've said...."WE COULD BEAT THEM!" And, should have!

The Steelers are what we thought they were.....and WE LET THEM OFF THE HOOK....AGAIN.....

i think the promising thing that is a positive out of this game is not that we could have beaten them but that we should have beaten them and we let ourselves down at the end - that's both the key positive and key negative that comes from this game - we should have won against a team that's earning a bye in the AFC but we also blew a 2 score lead with the ball in the 4th quarter

True and true I’m just saying I hate all the dull we suck talk I would understand if this was the Browns but no one and I mean no one can say they predicted 38 points all generated by this offense that alone is promising against what was the #4 Defense a lot of people forget that also

we dont suck but its disappointing that we had a chance to make a statement, made a statement and then retracted the statement...

That's what I'm saying! And to me, IF the Ravens are going to re-establish themselves as one of the PREMIERE teams in the NFL to beat....they HAVE TO FINISH games like this.....THEY HAVE TO! And when they don't?

I'm hurt dog......

If you think this game is going to be a cakewalk you have not watched the past five or six Ravens Browns games.

They have quite a few one possession losses. Against good teams.

I have been saying for a while now ( eventually I will be right ) this team is going to be a thorn in the side of the AFCN.

and im hoping the ravens give them enough respect that they dont get ahead of themselves but have enough self-respect that they stomp all over the browns and get that steelers lost out of their system

Btw this might seem unthinkable to some of you
but what happens if
IF
the browns beat us?
I actually think it's very possible. Without Jimmy, this defense can NOT be trusted on the road. I don't give a shit who the QB is, I expect them to have a decent AT-WORST game.

I want teams to legitimately fear our Defence. Ozzie has spent loads on this D and it's still so flawed. OUr 2006 D would have held this pittsburgh team to 10 points.

K.Gregg
H.Ngata
T.Pryce
A.Thomas
T.Suggs

B.Scott
R.Lewis

D.Landry
E.Reed

C-Mac
S-Rolle

That is a defensive football team with absolutely NO WEAKNESS.
One flaw - Landry could not tackle he always needed help bringing anyone down, guys used to run over him.

I was thinking about this quote right after the loss, but forgot to post it.

"But if they lose Sunday in Cleveland, the Ravens will no longer control their fate...."

^ It's that statement in the article right there that bothers me about facing the Browns at this time when the Ravens "NEED" to win to stay alive in the playoff chase.

The Browns would love nothing more than to BOTH....get their 1st off of a division foe and to play the "SPOILER" in the Ravens playoff hopes and chances.

eisenberg isnt really making much sense in that article - the browns game is important to win because we only have 3 more games left but the browns game is the least important game we have left on the schedule in terms of tie breakers - if we beat the colts and bengals then no matter what happens with the browns we own the tie breakers vs the bills and likely the chargers and chiefs as well

the only benefit the browns game gives us beyond a win is that it gives us the common games tie breaker over the chargers no matter what they do in the rest of their games... but the chargers tie breaker to me isnt important because i dont see how the chiefs beat them out to the division title

with all due respect, henry isn't some special talent. He's solid.
we have too much solid but not enough WOW

brandon williams is solid
Michael pierce is solid
Willie henry is solid

everyone is ''solid''

thats the problem..no one is DOMINANT in both Run and Pass
to draft a suggs type of talent you must draft in the top 8 unless you get lucky and find a gem which does not happen too often when it comes to elite pass rushers. the way i see it is we will most likely make the playoffs which puts us drafting into the 20's somewhere so forget about finding a pass rusher at that point imo and the focus will turn to o-line, te, s, rb, i pray we never draft a receiver again at least while ozzie is here. he is better off trading a 1st or 2nd and grabbing a pro bowler like he did with anquan.
