Do you truly

Can you grasp the fact that for the average fan, win or lose, playoffs or no playoffs, their life isn't going to change one bit? But for Steve, the staff of the entire organization, players, etc. there is money involved, this is a business.
Oh man you’re so smart you must be a super fan for figuring that out I would’ve never guessed there is money in football what I thought it was a charity event man

Who never watches the games live and is still an authority. Amazing. And you once said wouldn't it be interesting if the team was watching what we said and took our advice? Quite an ego. Foolish and living in a fantasy world thinking an NFL franchise would take advice from a forum.
Yeah man you tell him you’re so cool

harball was part of culling players 5 years ago that didn't necessarily "love him". He may have surrounded himself with compliant players at this point but we did give up a franchise record 4.1 yards per rushing attempt this year. JoeJoe Flacco threw for 3100 yards playing a full season with a career low yards per attempt and about a career high completion percentage. There is an evil dichotomy with our team. Heck, we lead the league in Interceptions this year with a secondary that can't get out of their own way. How do you explain these things?.........its called Harball. We are playing Harball.

I don't believe for a moment the players love Harball or wouldn't settle for a new winning coach in a New York Minute.

The fans here have to find it offensive to have someone maintain harball is a great motivator and then while playing at Home, have our team come out as flat as a pancake for a whole half of football with a playoff berth on the line and our destiny within our control. That was inexcusable and rests squarely at the feet of our coaching staff.

That good news shill at RSR just wrote a piece about the raven collapse and words it as we missed out on our 7th playoff appearance in 10 years, meaning that now we have 6 appearances in 10 years. But conveniently using stats to hide the fact those successes were at the beginning of Harball and with modern harball we are 1 playoff appearance in five years, while missing the last three years. In that time Harball is 40 wins 40 losses, the epitome of mediogre.

we sucked early and collapsed late, that's coaching and poor player selection.

billick's leash was only short because he lost the locker room but you can see it in the players that they love harbs and they play hard for him - every single year harbs gets our entire team to fully buy in no matter the circumstances or surrounding issues or record or team quality

I don’t disagree that the players love him, as I said, he’s a good NFL coach and just like Andy Reid, would definitely be coaching another team next season if the Ravens were to let him go. But I don’t buy the whole “the players play hard for him” statement. Plain and simple, this team has lacked in preparation, in game adjustments, laid 2 complete stinkers at home to bad teams, were given one of the easiest schedules in the league, had a 97% or making it to the post season, and still managed to unmotivate and limp their way to another failed season and then cry the blues of how much they love each other and will give it the old college try to get back next year. If they love each other, and are completely unified and okay being a mediocre football team, so be it. The seats will continue to be empty, and Other fans will be able to buy tickets on stub hub for as little as $25.

Huh? Where did I ever mention anything about The Bengals or The Browns. Since you want to bring The Bengals up let keep in mind that Marvin Lewis has been The Bengals head coach for the past 15 years. He has a playoff record of 0-7 and The Bengals in general has probably been the most talented team in The AFC North for the past four years. If you think John Harbaugh wouldn't do a better job as a head coach than Marvin Lewis especially taking them further to the playoffs with the talent they have then I think that's silly belief. John Harbaugh has much better playoff record than Marvin Lewis and has never been one and done in the playoffs even with the least fan favorite coordinators.

The Raven haven't been to the playoff since 2014 and since then they had a injury ridden season in 2015 and nearly made it to the playoffs in 2016 and 2017. If John Harbaugh would to get fired today then there's no way a team would not rush to express interest in him. Not only is there like 5 teams or more that are in need of a head coach but that makes for more competition so it doesn't neccesarily mean The Ravens or any team is going to get their guy. The fact that The Raiders are willing to hired Jon Gruden who hasn't coach football for over 7 years is telling on how The Raiders feel about today's head coach candidates. No disrespect to Jon Gruden accomplishments but The Raiders aren't just willing to make him their head coach but also the highest paid head coach along with stake in ownership.

Harballs teams 2008-2012 were laced with not only hof candidates but smart on field leaders that stepped up their game in the playoffs and pumped up teammates around them. Players like Lewis Reed Ngata Suggs Boldin, Birk. Where was Harballs leadership or playoff joe in that must win game on new yrs eve??

Yeah I'm having a hard time buying the play hard for Harbs concept when I watched these last two games. Getting dominated up front against 2 of the worst o lines in the league doesn't indicate playing hard.

The game was a microcosm of the season. Horrific start, especially on offense and then a mad scramble to dig out of a whole only to let it all go to shit.

I am seeing the ads for wild card round and the anger I pushed back swells back up again.

Could be wrong here, but if I'm not mistaken, due to the slot look, Canady should have been the other deep "safety" with Jefferson (who correctly allocated resources to double Green).

With Mosley, his job is the seam route and to carry the vertical. Usually that's against a tight end, but in this case, the tight end went across the field, so I believe Mosley should have dropped vertical to help with Boyd. Again, could be wrong.

I think Weddle was essentially acting as an additional linebacker and was going to take the hook zone away in the flat (which would mean he had the tight end).

Two things stand out from memory and that's how shallow Mosley was on the play when the only seam threat was Boyd and also how soft Canady was over the top as far as execution is concerned. From a personnel standpoint, I would have put Weddle or had him deep and had Jefferson show blitz, but that's just me.

All of this is going off memory. I'm still confused about the play because the outside corners forced an outside release to the sideline which almost suggests they were banking on verticals and wanted the corners to carry that route from the get go as opposed to jamming them inside and shortening the field for the safeties in deep coverage. That's what made me think it was man. Maybe man on the outside, zone on the inside. I don't know. Just really a good call for what the Bengals wanted to do, but terrible execution.

Just watched it again, good point on Canady, in 2-man deep I would expect two safeties back there so it's very possible Canady was the deep safety. Thing is, I highly doubt Mosley responsibility was the seam. I think he was supposed to handle the hook since Mosley showed blitz and dropped back, so it's a lot to ask him to cover a lot of ground and in that instant to take away the seam. Not only that but if he took the seam Mixon would've been left uncovered for an easy 1st down in the hook. I think Chuck Clark(36) had responsibility of the TE, so I don't think it was Weddle's responsibility. I think Clark was actually the LB in this situation to take away the hook/curl as well on the other side of the field.

This is where it gets confusing, because if Mosley and Clarke are supposed to prevent the hook, and if TJ and Canady cover the deep half of the field, then what is Weddle's responsibility in this scenario? I don't think Weddle was showing blitz either, I think he was getting back to the line for an adjustment.

I want to know what's Truth's take on this is though.

so according to filmstudy in simplified terms weddle was miles out of position and when asked about CJ on twitter he responded with this:
"If there was any plan for Mosley to cover the slot receiver on a seam route there, he was severely disadvantaged by dropping from the A gap at the snap."

Well if that’s the case and Weddle was out of position it makes sense that he doesn’t get his 1m bonus for making the playoffs. Easy come, easy go.
