I don’t like all the “top shelf No. 2 WR” nonsense. If they’re good enough to be called a top shelf No. 2, they’re good enough to be a #1.
That makes sense but it is totally Wong. A true No.1 is somebody opponents game plan for yet he makes plays consistently. His numbers are consistent regardless of attention. The attention he gets makes his teammates better. A top shelf No.2 is a good productive receiver. Makes plays and sometimes puts up No.1 numbers.But if a coordinator decides to take him away then he will. Especially if there isn’t a no.1 or top no.2 opposite of him. Like Emmanuel Sanders played across from Demaryius. Sometimes a top shelf No.2 is very good at one or a couple things but his game is limited in some way like Jarvis Landry.
