2018 Scouting Combine

But his injury history and inability to escape from the pocket screams Bradford 2.0. If you pick Rosen you better build on that oline
Given that UCLA had no oline and no run game literally any nfl oline will be a massive upgrade. Also his mobility is fine. He’d prefer to beat you with his arm but he can run if he has too. Sneaky athlete

I just worry with his frame and injury history. Hes really skinny and although he can move hes not gonna run away from dlineman

And? At UCLA only reason he had an injury history is because his protection was the definition of pathetic.... and he still kicked ten kinds of ass.

Not to mention his second concussion was BS per reports from UCLA. Sat out to avoid getting hurt and ruining draft stock.

He’d be the #1 QB in most classes.

I dont disagree that hes talented i just think he reminds me of Bradford comming out. Great arm talent, pocket passer, with an injury history. It doesnt take 40 sacks to get someone hurt, it only takes one and im not sure how durable he is. I still think hes a top 5 talent but hes no perfect prospect like Luck was comming out

You’re gonna knock someone for injuries and then bring up luck as a perfect prospect? Hmmm

Worst.... comparison.... possible.
Rosen unlike Bradford could navigate a pocket far more effectively and a lot of the hits he takes, and gets up from, are VICIOUS even from the college perspective. And where in the hell did I say he was perfect. He’s got flaws and his injury history is one of them, but he can take a beating. Problem is, he took too much of a beating at UCLA because he had no run game or oline. Defenses knew what was coming and he still dominated.

Totally agree and even though he is going to be a great RB at the next level, you can still find a great running back in other rounds. QBs can also be found in other rounds, but the chances are much smaller to find a franchise qb after the first round then a top RB.

and the qb has exponentially more importance on his team's chances of winning than a rb too

Im just saying Bradford is his worst case senario. Thats all. There are questions to his game just like all the other qbs.

but i dont see consistent recurring injuries when i see rosen which is the problem with bradford who now has a degenerative condition in his knee...

Guys.....im strictly talking about college film. Not what Bradford has done in the pros. Only college. And even though Rosen may not have that many recurring injuries he did take a beating and missed time because of it, also his frame gives me pause. What happens when Demarcus Lawrence or Fletcher Cox land on him??? He never faced guys like that in the college level.

Allen is joe flacco. On rsr that guy kyle that writes awful articles hates flacco but loves Allen. He cant see the hypocrisy
Uh. He's nothing like Joe. They both can throw it a mile and that's it.

Allen's only issue is his footwork. That's where inaccuracy in college came from. Easily fixable and his senior bowl and combine showed he worked on it hard.

Flaccos issue is footwork. He misses easy throws and makes hard ones, his pocket presence isn't the greatest either.

He flaws are flaccos his strengths are flaccos. You'll get same mistakes the same ups, same downs and same inconsistencies with allen as you do flacco.

Flacco eventually became solid at reading defenses. It showed during the SB run. My other big worry with Allen is football IQ. Rosen can read a defense, Mayfield isn't half bad at it, neither is Darnold. Those three can look safeties off, throw receivers open. Flacco on his "A game", even recently, can do all those things. Allen doesn't flash that. Flacco had much more polish coming out of school... Which is saying something since Flacco was pretty raw.

I wouldn't touch Allen in the first round personally. Tools be damned. Lacking pocket presence, accuracy, inability to read defenses at all, can throw the ball a country mile but cannot throw receivers open... He's a developmental prospect. He'll go in the first since some teams are desperate but I am not impressed by him at all. Flacco's pocket presence in college was much better(again, saying something), Flacco could look safeties off, throw WRs open at delaware, and Flacco in college when he was on his absolute A game(just like in the NFL) was as accurate as they come. Allen's problems are not identical in the slightest as Flacco would also stand tall in the pocket and just take a beating and still complete passes at the college level.

agree. He plays violent and regularly gets the tackle off balance. He does need to disengage better, but he flashes speed to power and sets a good edge.
His speed to power is unmatched by anyone in this class. Its his only move and even when they expect it comming he blows it up. I think he should be used inside more early in his career and mismatch him with gaurds

Tremaine Edmunds just ran a 4.55 40 at 6'4 253 lbs

Shaquem Griffin 4.38 - unofficial . If it holds up will be the fastest time for a LB since they started recording them.

Edmunds could probably reach a 4.3 if he really wanted too. He's athletically the closest LB we've seen to Patrick Willis since Willis came out.

If NFL teams are smart he's a top 10 pick
