this makes me fucking sad, its the end of an era. this man BROUGHT US STABLE QB PLAY AND A FUCKING INCREDIBLE SUPER BOWL RUN! and he is now on borrowed time.

im not ready to move on!
Man I feel the same I don't care what anyone says hes been my quarterback since I 2008 when I started watching football seriously and I feel sad and excited all at once with this

Akrum Wadley late rounds will pair nicely with Jackson a year from now. I suspect that might be partly the fascination with Ronald Jones.

I'm so conflicted with how today went down.

1.) We got the best TE in the class. Over the past week I've legit been on board with Hurst as a late first. Trading back to get him is a good move. I understand his concerns with age but he's going to be a quick contributor. As long as he becomes an impact player for 5-10 years it will be a great value pick. That's what matters most. I really think he's going to make our offense better.

2.) But im half-half on the Lamar Jackson pick. Let's be honest with two things. On one hand, Joe can be released after this season, or most likely traded; he has not played well and getting someone like Jackson could pretty much force him to bounce back and truly put him in desperation mode. There's a lot on the line for Joe this year, money, stablity, and the team he's played for 11 seasons. This is truly do-or-die for him. On the other hand, the Lamar Jackson pick means nothing if you don't surround him with talent and let's be honest, the Ravens haven't truly done a great job in regaurds to that with Joe Flacco, so I don't see how you can put a guy on the hook when you didn't do much for him to begin with. This should definitely light a fire in Joe because if he doesn't produce then maybe it truly is time to part ways.

whats the deal with the steelers just taking whatever fucking db whenever the fuck they want? like hey we need a safety, and we can get this guy a whole round later but lets take him anyway. did it with artie burns and sean davis and now edmunds. like maybe those guys wouldnt have lasted that long, but damn, consider the top player just once, rather than going all out for need every first round

I hear you. Joe has frustrated us at times, but has given us a lot of success. In that way, he is really underappreciated by many.

That said, exploring his replacement here makes sense. If Jackson can be successful, it will be a massive boost to this organization. It is the kind of swing for the fences move we've been hesitant to make and I applaud the boldness.
