2026 NFL Draft General Discussion

i think there's an understanding that you can beat blocks in different ways - bain's style of play makes the leverage at the LoS less of an issue, if he was constantly trying to win with high-side speed rushes working to clear hands off him then it would be more concerning (like with cashius howell)
I wonder if its like fighting a taller guy.. the taller guy not even letting you get close cause his tall ass jabbing you to death lol..

Is Monroe Freeling going to end up as OT1 ?

maybe
1 year starter with some inconsistencies

but prototypical traits at the position and some good looking tape combined with the top 2 guys maybe projecting inside and he may well be in that conversation for some teams (especially if they're looking for a LT specifically)

probably ends up top 20 on my board with a late 1st/early 2nd type grade

for sure that's the idea behind it - it's why teams covet length in OTs so much because it can allow you to keep guys out of range
but think of reuben bain like mike tyson as a guy who would punch himself inside the jab

This draft is fast as fuck

This draft is fast as fuck

think it's a case of survivorship bias - the guys who are slow aren't testing

it was never happening imo.. dudes like that dont fall to us.. also, i just seen a clip of bailey at combine and yea he does look stiff. i think you were the one who mentioned something like that to me

yeah electric off the snap but stiff - doesn't have the hip or ankle flexion to bend efficiently
can win because his get off allows him to take good angles to win high-side but yeah he doesnt have that bend that you'd want in a top 10 type guy

Haven’t watched Bailey at all, what you describe sounds a bit like Charles Harris from mizzou back in the day, he was long and tall with an absolutely electric get off but was extremely stiff and high hipped, the only move he had that allowed him to win with his speed was a spin move that only worked when the OT over set which just never happened in the nfl

don't think he's charles harris stiff

and bailey is super explosive and in general his CoD skills are good - just not a super loose athlete - and he's good with his hands at the top of the rush to clear

he's not super stiff - just a bit stiff and linear

We’re drafting Vega at 14 and we will like it. He’s my most recent IOL draft pookie since Lindy

I’d rather see Fano fall to us and draft him to play G but for me, when it comes to OL it’s like a flow chart

Do you have a franchise qb? > yes

Is your OL a complete liability? > yes

Is this OL prospect going to at least be a quality starter? > yes

> draftable anywhere in the first round

that logic is how you take:
amarius mims over jared verse
broderick jones over chistian gonzalez
alex leatherwood over jaelan phillips

not saying you shouldnt take OL - just don't overvalue starters

Bro EXACTLY

he don’t need to be generational, I just need to know our pocket ain’t gonna collapse because of him, and I firmly believe he’s one of those guy
We need oline bad but got dam having the 14th pick and not being able to get guys who you believe is a generational talent do kinda suck lol. I think we are gonna draft him but dam it would suck if we chose him over a guy like jeriymah love. I dnt really care for the cbs cause i think hump stays and wr id want is tyson but he got injuries every year in college.. actually, ionae might be the safest pick for us at 14 like you said

If the expectation at 14 is generational talent, it's always going to be a disappointment
