CJ is more of what used to be called a strong safety but that's probably Starks best role too. I thought Lowry looked promising in preseason but they seem reluctant to try him for some reason.I think the ravens need a safety they can trust to give Kyle Hamilton more freedom to do what he does best. Seems like the secondary is playing passive to possibly protect Malaki Starks and to likely mask the lack of consistent pass rush. I also suggested CJ Gardner Johnson cause he likely could add more attitude to the defense but I will admit I don't know a lot about his ability. Not sure if he can pay that Geno Stone role but maybe he could.
If Lowry played deeper and Starks closer to the the line, that could free up Hamilton too.
Really, I just think that any money we spend should be going towards big guys not more little ones.
