Jesse Minter Head Coach

I was out at a comedy show tonight so catching up on a few texts…

Minter was 1 of the 2 favorites along with Kubiak. They liked Webb and Scheelhaase a lot too and wanted to give them a shot to come in and win the job, but always felt it was Minter or Kubiak. Once Vegas stepped up their efforts, the Ravens got it done. They pretty much knew Minter was going to be the guy yesterday, barring any of the other hopeful interviewees blowing them away.
Hmmm interesting. I heard a person say that his trusted source advised that Kubiak may actually stay with the seahawks this year as he wanted to give it a go another year with seattle possibly and that it may be telling that he only interviewed with 3 teams.Im guessing Webb or Scheelhaase wouldn't be consider offensive coordinator candidates given that it's been reported Lamar wants Kliff Kingbury and according to the person I was listening to(not saying it's true) it mentioned that it agreed upon for the ravens to get Minter as their head coach and Kliff Kingbury as the offensive coordinator. This Kingbury situation may have some truth to it because Hollywood Brown was given him some what praise on Twitter / x before he took the post down for some reason.

There was also a rumor that Minter would stay a DC, but that didn’t happen. Not saying Kubiak wouldn’t do that if the Browns offered him the job, but no one was going to pass up the Ravens job to stay a coordinator. Opportunities to join this type of organization don’t come around too often.

My guess is Kubiak would move for the right offer else he’ll wait like Johnson did. Only places I could see him go would be Oakland or Buffalo or Pittsburgh. My guess is PIT hires Shula.

The question is who does Buffalo get and who does Cleveland swindle/beg to take the job

Would Klay Kubiak be considered a lateral move if the Ravens were to give him play calling duties?
No. The 49ers could simply block that move unless the ravens are offering him assistant head coach along with being a offensive coordinator which I doubt is on the ravens radar

Chargers defense before Minter and then with him:
2023 (Pre Minter) 24th in Points Against
28th in Yards Allowed / 21st in Turnovers Forced
2024 (With Minter) 1st in PA
11th in YA / 13th in Turnovers Forced
2025 9th in PA, 5th in YA, 7th in Turnovers

Incredible turnaround and very very quickly. Wonder if we’re in for some bounce back seasons on that side of the ball

Man I would really love to get McDaniel here as the OC. If we can somehow make that happen….mmm

I think having two former HC at coordinator would be great. I’d love McDermott at DC, although I doubt it happens.

Apparently Mike McDaniel is being interviewed by the Bills today. Likely explains why he committed to LAC but hasn’t yet signed.

Guess that kills the outside hope he would come here as OC
