Trap Game?

C’mon man, trap games are vs bottom dwellers with big game looming

They are not vs defending conference champions in their environment

Good gawd man!

This is gonna be a dogfight guys

i think that's more just how high we feel as ravens fans right now - basically any game not against a division leader feels like a trap game - this is rarefied air - we're not used to being this high up but it makes almost every game that's not against a surging team feel like a trap game - no disrespect meant

Mike doesn't get his due, because he did have to live in the shadow of Nitschke and Butkis, but he was the defensive engine of those great teams.

I was watching live when he laid out that knucklehead who ran on the field picked up the ball and tried to run away with it. When I saw the dude didn't get killed I couldn't stop laughing. It was like. "you wanna run a football on an NFL field? Here's the price for doing that". How many games would Godell suspend him for that today? But back then, it was just looked at as "dude asked for it, he got it".

lmao, I'm not a boomer, but close.
Like my daughter says "boomer isn't an age, its a mindset" lol.

In the spirit of NFL 100 ... good to talk a little NFL history. The young guys on this thread 30-40 years from now will be telling stories of Ray Lewis and Ed Reed (and Lamar Jackson?) and their children will be like 'yawn'. Remembering history is a good thing.

I feel the same way your daughter says. I'm 53, but certainly don't feel it. 53 is the new 33 anyways.

I am not with the part of the fan base that is looking past The Rams. It's likely to be close and determined by who doesn't turn the ball over. We could certainly lose this game.
Woods, cooks, Cupp and Gurley at home on Monday night with everything on the line seems formidable enough to me. I don't expect the Rams to lay the giant turd they laid vs. Pittsburgh tonight.

yep, neither am I and i'm certainly sure the Ravens aren't looking past them as well.

The fact that their season is on the line and the weapons you mentioned are the reasons that make me nervous as well as Donald being a game wrecker.

However, having said that they dont have much of a home field advantage if at all and most of the crowd will probably be there to watch Lamar. They're offensive line has struggled and that has caused Goff to be uncomfortable, hes really struggled passing the ball under pressure.

Key will be Stopping Gurley 1st and foremost, cant let him dictate the pace of their offense.

Our offense will have to maintain long drives early to gas out Donald so he cant have as much of an impact. Also get Hollywood more involved in the passing game. I honestly dont see this as a high scoring game at all because I think possessions will be limited if both teams stay committed to the run

Getting early jitters for this one but with this being Lamars first Monday Night football game and it's in LA I think he puts on a show and we force Goff to make a few mistakes

Ravens win this one 27-17

Everybody is expecting the Rams to involve Gurley a lot from the start. I don't, I think they'll try to strike quickly, to force us to play from behind.
Our secondary and both trenches are where game will be won or lost.
We'll have a handful to beat tonight.

So Lost will be watching Monday Afternoon Football, in Hawaii, when everyone else is watching Monday Night Football.

Of course you guys and gals on the other side of the pond in both directions could be watching late night or early morning football.

Quick throws and maybe a hurry up offense. That's what i expect.

We will need to be able to stop Todd Gurley in both the running game and the screen game.

The Rams haven't played a mobile QB since week 5, but they have never played anyone like LJ
