Around the NFL: News and Rumors

Max Kellerman: “You think I’m gonna completely Jump off the Browns bandwagon, just because they lost to Denver? Yea I am, gonna do that. The Browns stink. They’re terrible.”
Man watching Rex Ryan after this weeks Brows loss ... wow, that dude has a hate that burns with a fiery passion against that team. He was almost emotional in his trashing of them. "They are getting exactly what they deserve" LOL.

Of all the statements from Baker that get held us as childish (some of the stuff might be a reach) I think the way he got personal on Rex after he gave some honest criticism on his play was the worst. What a disrespectful little brat he sounded like - saying "there's a reason he's not in the league". Show some respect for a dude that was a significant part of this league when you were in diapers (and probably before).

There's going to be a reason you're out of the league in short order if you don't pull it together.

yeah, right

DEAN SPANOSC, LOS ANGELES CHARGERS

The NFL has released a statement denying that moving the Chargers to London is being explored.
"There is no substance whatsoever to this report," the league said in an uncredited statement. "No consideration has been given to the Chargers playing anywhere other than Los Angeles." The strongly-worded letter dragged on a bit after that. The fact that these statements are necessary at all tells you all you need to know about the Chargers' viability in Los Angeles. Bolts players keep complaining about having to play 16 road games. L.A. simply isn't a two-team market after two decades of enjoying the Red Zone channel. It's looking increasingly likely the Chargers will have to make another move at some point, though London isn't realistic.
Hmm listening to his profanity laced response reminded me of another owner who belligerently denied rumors of moving his team.

At 35 seconds, you get a short clip. There was another that I cant find ... moments before they actually left where he was clearly drunk off his ass and obscene yelling at reporters.

Biggest slime ball the NFL has ever seen.

The only reason he may not be in the league anymore is because he might want a HC position. As a DC? He has a spot in my opinion.

JACOBY BRISSETTQB, INDIANAPOLIS shouldn't be called COLTS

Jacoby Brissett (knee) will practice on a limited basis Wednesday.
Brissett has a sprained MCL. The Colts are pushing for a playoff spot and likely want Brissett to miss as little time as possible. They can probably beat the Dolphins with Brian Hoyer under center, but Brissett is expected to try and play. We should know more later in the week.

  • STERLING SHEPARDWR, NEW YORK GIANTS

SNY's Ralph Vacchiano reports the Giants are "seriously considering" placing Sterling Shepard on injured reserve for concussion-like symptoms.
Shepard is visiting a specialist in Pittsburgh to shed some light on his brain injury, but the Giants could opt to send him to injured reserve since he's had two concussions this season. Shepard was forced to re-enter the concussion protocol after his symptoms popped up again, so he's definitely week to week in the best-case scenario. Some Giants players reportedly have questioned if Shepard will continue playing football in general but that's just speculation for now. Vacchiano also notes a decision to send Shepard to IR "might not come for a while" since the Giants have a Week 11 bye. When Shepard is sidelined, the Giants will funnel targets to Golden Tate, Saquon Barkley, and Evan Engram (foot) while Darius Slayton operates as a low-volume deep threat.

A.J. GREENWR, CINCINNATI BENGALS

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports A.J. Green suffered a setback to his injured ankle and is now out indefinitely.
Green had already been ruled out for Sunday's home matchup against Baltimore after experiencing renewed swelling in his surgically-repaired left ankle. Now it's anyone's guess when we might see the ninth-year receiver back in uniform. "Right now, my ankle is saying it's too much," said Green, who implied he may have overexerted himself during Monday's practice session. "That's when you gotta back off." With little to play for, the 0-8 Bengals may opt to throw in the towel by placing Green on injured reserve, something they probably should have done two months ago. With Green shelved indefinitely, Cincinnati will move forward with Tyler Boyd, Auden Tate and Alex Erickson operating in three-wide sets.

Thank you very much Adam. I don't want to sound like I'm rooting for Green's injury, but I'm glad he isn't playing against us all the same. Please get to practice with your ankle fully healed on Monday AJ!

From here on out I declare all Ravens fans will refer to the NFL team in Indianapolis as the Indianapolis Donkey Hooves!

I don't blame him for "backing off" at this point of the season. He was wasted in Cincy, and hopefully goes to a team next year he can get a ring with(Not named the Patriots)

as much as I'd like Green on a short contract, I worry about his recent injury history over the past few seasons.
