Around the NFL: News and Rumors

Jets traded Sheldon Richardson to Seattle for Jermaine Kearse.
They.... are a special organization.

Edit: Jets also received a second round pick and a seventh round pick. Did not expect that to happen when you consider his off the field, but this at least makes it more stomachable.

Yeah, makes little bit more sense now. Initial news did not include picks.
Richardson+Bennett sounds pretty scary for whomever is lining up on the other side.

Wow - ready to throw the rook into the fire. Osweiler has been a massive waste of cash for both the Texans and now the Browns. The Broncos are looking pretty wise to have let him walk.
It's really not a waste of cash for the Browns. They're suppose to spend a minimum of 89% of the 167M salary cap and his contract helps them to meet that threshold while picking up a second round pick in the process.

They weren't paying for brock. They were paying for that second round pick.

eric winston looks like he's being released - any of you remember when he was the fan target that everyone latched onto because we didnt have a right tackle back in 2014 and then wagner just so happened to actually be a good player...

Colts trade Phillip Dorset to Patriots for Jacoby Brissett.

Yeah but even that doesn't justify trading your former 1st round pick who's been making some progress for a backup QB who had one approximately OK game in NE system...

You could look at it that way or you could think of it in these terms: a number 4 wr traded for a number 3 qb

You can bet the Pats will turn Dorsett into a God.

That team in Indy is a mess and the dysfunction starts at the top. That was a shit franchise for 20+ years until Peyton pulled them out of the swamp. Then he was tossed aside and basically ridiculed for only winning one Super Bowl. That's the only Super Bowl that franchise will see until they go back to getting 1st overall draft picks for another 20 years and the next generational QB talent falls into their lap.
