Around the NFL: News and Rumors

it's more surprising that steve keim is all out on rosen - he drafted him a year ago and then hired a new HC...
to draft Murray is to basically tell ownership he screwed up a year ago and that for some reason despite also getting a DUI he managed to keep his job

he's literally demonstrating to ownership that he doesn't know what he's doing because no matter how this goes he's made a mistake somewhere...

He must be drinking again if he is giving up on him after a year and putting his eggs in a basket that hopefully turns into the next Russell Wilson.

I don't care where he goes, as long as it's not New England. I can see Washington taking a chance on Rosen, Giants if they feel getting Rosen and grooming him for a year behind Eli would be better than waiting on the 2020 Draft. If the Dolphins think he can replace Tannehill then they can get him. Just as long as he isn't in a Pats uniform I just want him to go somewhere and make the Cardinals look stupid.

what's even more stupid is they traded up for him and if they trade him away they likely dont get a 1st round pick back tbh so its literally like they pissed away a top 10 pick after a year for literally no reason at all

Poorly run and wasted Fitzgerald's career. I love Fitz's loyalty but man he should have went for a ring elsewhere at some point. Hell even do what Calvin did and retire early. He deserved better.

@JO_75 , speaking of Larry Fitz. While he isn't wrong, per se, in his comments towards AB, he is the LAST person to say that shit. No one forced him to stay in ARZ. He CHOSE to stay with them despite their constant QB problems so he can miss me with that bullshit.

Let me see if I get this.... Cardinals will take Murray and trade Rosen. Hand delivering the best pass rusher in the draft in Nick Bosa to their division rival 49ers where he gets to chase him behind that terrible line and hit him multiple times a game unless they actually improve their offensive line. I guess that makes sense to the Cardinals.

and whoever gets Rosen, will get a young QB with a very cheap contract where the signing bonus has already been paid.

It'd be amazing if the Giants got Rosen. They grabbed Barkley and still get one of the top QBs of that draft.
agree . I've been talking to one of my friends who is a Giants fan and we've been talking about the same thing. That being said, he likes Haskins as well. I'm not so sure about Haskins.

would be outrageous - the giants get a franchise qb of the future whether they want him to sit or not and rosen ends up in an incredible position with premier weapons at wr and rb, some secondary talent at receiver as well and a OL that's vastly improved over the cardinals OL

If Rosen had been in this years draft class, every analysts would've mocked him to the Cardinals. I swear I don't see what these analysts see in Murray.

Edge rushers seem to be getting Tagged today. After the Texans tagged Clowney, the Seahawks have Franchised DE Frank Clark. The Cowboys have once again Franchised DE DeMarcus Lawrence for the second straight year. Lawrence has said he will not play under the tag for another year and is delaying shoulder surgery until he gets a long term deal.

The chiefs are releasing Justin Huston.
Might be an alternative to get a short term pass rusher instead of resigning Suggs

The Chiefs have NOT released him yet as they are still listening to trade offers. On the other hand, they are also listening to trade offers for Dee Ford since they are switching to a 4-3 scheme. Both could be playing in different uniforms next year.

They did put franchise tag on Ford

Houston is a MUCH better player overall but I wonder if they try and grab both as Timmy is in doghouse and Bowser is allegedly under contract but no has seen him in over a year.
