Hall of Famer
Shazier had "spinal stabilization surgery" Wednesday night.
I think he will but I don't see him continuing football career after this. It would be bad luck but under the circumstances, really positive outcome.Per Rapsheet: LB Ryan Shazier’s spinal surgery will necessitate months of recovery, sources say, before he considers a return to football. His season is over. A very difficult situation.
i just hope this guy can walk again
Not in a sense that surgery is needed to repair the actual damage.I could've sworn they were saying he didn't need surgery...
Don't blame him. We'll take him. Easily. Jets are a waste of an organizationThe Jets are tired of Muhammad Wilkerson's BS. He was benched in the first quarter in the loss against the Chiefs, has been tardy to team meetings, underachieved on the field and upset his teammates and the New York Media. The Jets can release him saving them $11M in cap space but also $9M in dead money.

The one thing we lack atm is a true 5 tech. Dude. This fucking defense with a 5T like mo wilks would be terrifying.Don't blame him. We'll take him. Easily. Jets are a waste of an organization
Now that is funnyjust to emphasise how dysfunctional the browns are:

Now that is funny
That did say that the day after the gameI could've sworn they were saying he didn't need surgery...
Hmmm, maybe they just need Jackson Brown to run the franchisei just read both jackson and brown's statements on the matter and one of them definitely comes off classier than the other...
John Dorsey would be a great selection for the Browns to become the new General Manager. I still don't understand why the Chiefs let him go unless this was Andy Reid's way of taking full control of the team. I would say I would hate that the Browns actually get better but honestly their fans deserve it more than any other fan base in all of sports. For their fans, to finally see them have success after everything that they have went through would be a big plus in my book.
So Schefter says Hue Jackson will remain HC of the Browns in 2018. With Sashi out of the way, I wonder if now he'll be able to convince Dorsey or whoever the new GM is to get his golden boy McCarron and pass on Rosen with the first overall pick. Or could it be something like Chicago where they get McCarron and still draft Rosen number one overall?
and its official Browns have hired Dorsey...
positives for the browns:
- analytics guys have stacked picks
- dorsey is a scout through and through
- Podesta is supposedly still in the building (so might be just sashi they got rid of rather than analytics per se) - Dorsey could of course get rid of him
That was FAST! Congrats to the Browns on finally signing a good GM. Makes me wonder if Dorsey and the Browns were in talks prior to this and fired Sashi as soon as a deal was done with Dorsey.
Browns fans seem pleased with the hire looking at their forums. They are even talking about the possibility of Alex Smith coming to Cleveland next year if the Chiefs move on to Mahomes since Dorsey has that KC connection. I would find it amazing if Dorsey didn't do anything but take Rosen to be the new quarterback in Cleveland.
