This is my big thing and the thing I think that would open up the offense the most. I certainly think Henry accomplishes that to some extent, but having someone defenses have to watch in both phases would accomplish that even more.None. But I don't think 1K yards in a 17 game season is a good measurement of anything.
Najee Harris had 1,200 and 1,000 yards in back to back seasons, and every person on the planet now realizes he's complete ass as a runner.
Just saying 4.5 yards/carry on 10-15 carries gets you about 60-70 yards/game, at most. If Henry came in and gave you 60 yards a week, would you be happy with it? Maybe TDs boost him, but TDs aren't predictable or trendy for individual players. It's dependent on game flow and situations more than the talent of the player.
What I'd rather see from a RB we acquire is a better pass catcher to involve the RB in the passing game (which we aren't doing) and somebody who's better as stretch or edge runner. And I don't want to pay that much for it.
Would also point out that Henry hasn't been a 4.5 guy since 2020. Maybe that's because the Titans passing game sucks, but maybe its also because he's less explosive.
Again as a general statement for everyone - nothing against Henry the player. If we did happen to acquire him, I have no major qualms. Just think there is the potential to add more to this offense with a different style of player.
