Signings, Cuts, Trades

I think we should trade for the Vikings guy as well, if we do that and Mads comes back and we keep our firsts maybe that is better than Crosby only

In the most important news of the day, Broddy may stay for the time being. They were hoping to retain at least a couple of the guys that left, so now they have more cap than expected. Not saying he's here for the long haul (and also not saying he still isn't cut today) but the need for that space now is no longer a thing so they may punt that decision a bit.

This shit with Lamar and how he handles his contracts is getting old fast. I no longer support him being his own agent because he just doesn’t handle his business.
Even with an agent though lamar is in control.. however, shit could get down a little faster so i do get it

With all this cap space now and getting our picks back, do you anticipate any big trades?

Mike MacDonald said after the Superbowl that stopping the run with 4 was key to his defense but obviously you know better.

Still, I do think it's going to be a consideration and we might not see Trey lining up on too many first downs, which could turn out to be a good thing, keeping him fresh and lengthening his career.
1. Mike MacDonald isn't the coach of the Ravens. Minter is. They don't run identical schemes.
2. Mike MacDonald has a couple pretty good run-stuffing LBs, who don't play on the line, who aren't exceptional in pass coverage either. And they play a lot.

Minter has third lowest blitz rate. That was last season though. May all be dependent on what you have on your defense

Genuinely don't know right now. They prioritized Trey and were focused on getting that done last night. I imagine they're back in the building figuring out new plans today. They didn't think this would all play out this way obviously, so some adjustments needed on their side too.

Going back on what I said earlier to some extent, they were indeed open to a Crosby and Hendrickson pairing. They weren't going to outbid but that was a very real consideration. Talks were under way with his camp before the Crosby stuff cropped up, and obviously efforts intensified once reality hit.
