Minter also likes to defend the run in nickel.

I know you don't think either me or MacDonald was saying that only 4 players are ever involved in run defense, so did you need to point out that linebackers exist, twice?

But c'mon, we're acting like Trey is a complete liability vs the run when he's really just average. I don't ever remember stuffing the ball down his throat all game.

I also couldn't give a shit less if he is. He doesn't have to be an every down player, and if there's one area of football where the Ravens should absolutely prioritize less, it's run D. You could be incredibly average on run D and win a shit load of games in this league. Especially in a division with teams that don't run the ball overly well.

And that, getting to the Qb with 4 is the most important thing a D can do.

So from what I can understand and gather from all of this is the raiders tried to pull a fast one.

Crosby has a lack of cartilage in the knee, early signs of arthritis and possibly early signs of osteoporosis. Ravens team doctors failed his physical but they still wanted him so they got second opinions. Multiple other doctors failed his physical too.

The most likely outcome is there's nothing nefarious. It's just a lesson to fans that even doctors don't agree on everything (I would have thought Covid would have taught people this definitively). The short term issues with the knee weren't a surprise. They just disagree on long term prognosis.
