We've signed G Michael Schofield. I've never heard of him - looks like a career backup journeyman type?
Never has my wife been more disappointed to find out that the real life Michael Schofield is gay...Niceee

Prison Break, nice referenceHe’s straight out of prison. EXTREMELY smart guy. Looks to me like he’s put on a ton of muscle and got rid of the tats though

I think its more about the character red flags. They were somewhat there, but we didn't do enough due diligence on him. It may not have changed anything, though.
There were many questions about how ET, schematically, would fit in. Again, he was the prototype "free safety" who liked to roam 15-20 yards off the ball like he did in Seattle, but that's not how we did or currently are employing our Safeties in the Wink scheme. It took him time to adjust, and I think he pissed off a lot of people during that adjustment.
I agree to a certain extent its just leadership taking responsibility for the mistake, but honestly, there's nobody else, besides ET, who should take responsibility. He just didn't fit here.
Never been particularly good but plays multiple positions and wouldn't be the worst depth option in the world. Think he's on the outside looking in right now but no harm in having him here for the minimum should we need him to play a bigger role if injuries were to hit.
Likely starters: Stanley | Cleveland | Bozeman | Zeitler | Villanueva
Likely backups: Mekari | Powers | Colon | Bredeson | Phillips (pick 3 or 4)
Leaves Schofield in a group with A. Smith, Mancz, Ealy, and Sarrell. Can't see why they wouldn't lean toward the younger guys as long as they show up and play decently well.

The first 3 seasons were so legit man.. got pretty boring after the panama prison escapeYes sir. Got everyone in my family addicted to it and they watched the entire thing

but i think it's worth pointing out that ET didn't fail here because he didn't fit the scheme - his role adjusted and he took on more responsibilities closer to the line than he had otherwise in his career but otherwise fit in well - he failed because he didn't fit in the locker room and didn't seem to want to be part of any team
so yeah it's more about character than anything else and that's why i think EDC "fell on the sword" over that signing because they didn't/weren't able to do the due diligence on him because they weren't targeting him
ET played pretty well after he adjusted to his new role on defense. If not for his lack of effort on certain plays and being an absolute asshole in the locker room and off the field, I think he would still be here.
Yep. The quiet, intellectual type who is lethal and deadly. His brains have more mass than we have in our bodies. That Michael Schofield. The guy who broke in and outta prison
100% - and tbh, he probably could have still got away with continued occasional plays like the chubb one as long as he was still actually putting the work in
and if he was a loner in the locker room that also would have been fine
but he was an antagonistic force in that locker room and didnt seem to even know or be bothered about learning the playbook
so he gone
After JK proved he could transition to WR1, Ravens decided they needed a new RB.

IF he made the team, which I doubt he would, he would likely be a gameday inactive I think. And in comes Ingram’s replacement. The role entails an over the hill veteran who takes snaps away from the actual good RB’s and gets 1-2 yards per carry. We just couldn’t do without that, now could we?
