I met his mom at a networking event the year he was just inserted into the starting lineup due to all the QB injuries at Ohio State. This is so tragic.
 
Chicago is in a full blown rebuild and they know 2022 is gonna suck for them. Anyone left on there we can possibly poach (besides the obvious - Lamar Jackson)?
 
Let us please stay on topic on singing trades and cuts. I respect everyone's posts and opinions and have always wanted to keep this place honest and free, but please keep ideas and thoughts unrelated to personal attacks and toxic escalation.

The death of a human is almost always unfortunate, espically if the worst thing they did was not excel as a 20 year old in one of the hardest places to succeed in the world. Just please respect one another, it isn't worth losing what we have here.

This has been a pretty interesting FA for us actually. These new fans are spoiled. The last time I remember being this hype after the bowl was the Anquan trade. Before that was McNair. It's usually just a down time where our own are re-signed or we make a move for a teams rotational DL who goes on to become a fan favorite.

it's amazing how the ZDS let down took all the steam out of the fanbase after we signed marcus and morgan... outstanding signings and 2 starters for good value... one of whom is the kind of style of player we've been searching for for nearly a decade now
 
You'd have to imagine that there will be some moves like cutting Boykin, maybe Powers, restructure Marlon, extend Marcus etc if we want to make any more moves like Gordon and sign our draft class plus the guys after the draft.

right now with rule of 51 i think we're ok in terms of signing the draft class but will probably need to make those kinds of moves at some point this offseason for when rule of 51 ends and also so we have some money for injuries and practice squad call ups and for contingency purposes - just makes it more inevitable that boykin and powers are cut in the end... but unless a team's gonna throw a pick at us, there's no reason to do it now (as much as i just want boykin gone lol) unless there's a guy who becomes available on the market that warrants more than vet minimum type money
