Signings, Cuts, Trades

Seriously. Been waiting on this

"NFLPA President JC Tretter pushing players, agents to seek guaranteed contracts"

Well I was going to say it seems like a perfect Ravens signing, but this could be a road block

I really hope Marcus Williams stays who he has been for us. I forgot truly how many combos of safties we have had over the last decade. Michael Huff, Matt Elam, Will Hill III, Terrance Brooks, Kendrick Lewis, Darian Stewart, Webb, Patrick Onwuasor (he was a saftey coming out), Bryden Trawick. These guys all started signifcant games for us. Free drink if you recalled all of those guys. Jeez!

lol Kendrick Lewis . I remember reading an article in 2015 saying he would provide stability to the secondary. We would have been 4-0 in 2016 had he not been roasted by Crabtree

Because they want to win, not just save money and having a starting WB who actively doesn’t want to be there (during the suspension) makes that goal beyond reach.

Isn't his money guaranteed? They have to pay if he's there or not. He no shows they get some of the money back I'd assume. Also doesn't hurt to have a backup who knows the system.

For some reason I have no memory of Huff actually playing for us. Hill was nice. His problem was some minor off field bs.

Suspended players don't get paid, regardless of guaranteed contracts or not. It'd be tough to just suspend him out of nowhere, but if he was on the roster and literally refused to suit up, then yes, they could theoretically suspend him and not pay him.

Most likely he'd just hold out through like camp/preseason, which probably nobody would care about, and then show up for gamedays so he doesn't get suspended.

I don't really think anybody is off the table if they're drafting rookies, because I think some of these rookies may very well need a year or two to develop as QBs. Not a lot of guys I see in the first round look day 1 ready to me.
Pickett is the one that is probably the most pro ready and that isn't saying much either. He also isn't the one I have as the highest upside also. Similar to last season where I had Mac Jones as the most pro ready but Lance and Lawrence as the highest upside. Lance landed in the best position with Kyle Shanahan as his head coach. I feel bad for Lawrence though. His career or atleast the earlier years of his career could get wasted in Jacksonville.

Huff didn’t even make it to midseason iirc. He was quite possibly the worst starter the ravens have ever had.
Never forget our week 1 bashing by the Broncos. Brandon Tywick was the one who ran into Jacoby Jones and hurt him if I am correct. Between that and the back of Huffs jersey on all Mannings TDs. Worst combined saftey game ever lol

@purplepittabread88 send me a free drink, I remembered the entire list and I wasn't a Ravens fan during the entire run.

Glad to know you think Hamilton isn't needed now because we have Chuck Clark. Sounds like you have finally come around and realized he's a hall of fame Safety.
Trick question: peanut was only a saftey for like a day in training camp (jkjk)

I’ll see you in September
