Signings, Cuts, Trades

If we were to trade for Deebo (which we’re not), Hollywood would absolutely be in that deal (which is dumb because he’s going to have to get paid as well - albeit not at the same price as Deebo)

We’re not going to trade for him. It was just a rumor started on one of those stupids ass rumor Twitter pages. It makes no sense from a lot of angles
Not convinced Hollywood needs to be on that deal. You can keep both knowing your only paying one next off-season. Just giving up more draft capital. Thats the Ravens putting all the chips on the table to win this year…….. buuuuuuut i think that conversation is pointless and your right there is no way we aquire Deebo.

What's up is he wants a new contract and he's creating leverage to do it.
I think its a foregone conclusion he signs a long term extension with SF before week 1.
No different than Kyler. Has nothing to do with not wanting to play for that team anymore. Has everything to do with creating leverage to get a new contract sooner than the team wants to give it to him.
I forgot he wasnt a 1st rnd pick.l and even so idk why he feels like he can create all the leverage.. i mean he played one full season.. was injured last year and was injured some his 1st year i believe. I dnt blame him for holding out but its not like he put up 3 good seasons of production

Deebo and Kyle Shanahan for John Harbaugh and a 5th. Win-Win for both sides. If they play hardball.. we can throw in Greg Roman I guess

Well the consensus, perhaps, is that he doesn't like his utilization in SF, which I would assume is he's unhappy being a partial RB. Ironically, I think that raises his value league-wide. I'm not sure as just a generic WR that he's nearly as valuable as he sees himself.

I don't know what I'd pay him, but its not $25M per year. Some of the guys getting that money have many years of high level production on their resume. He doesn't.

And that's the thing for me. I'd have no issue giving up a 2nd rounder or maybe a 2 + some mid round picks for Deebo. I'm just not paying him yet. He'd have to show me more.

I'm never giving up #14 for him, and I'm certainly not doing it AND giving him a nice phat contract either. If either is required, I'm out.

We been sucking at screens waaaay longer than 2021 lol
Dude yea I feel like this has been an ongoing thing for us for years lol

but we did call some TE screens and WR screens last year iirc

and tbf, we probably intended to call more... especially given the fact that JK Dobbins literally got injured on a RB screen in the preseason - i imagine that was going to be a big part of the offence in 2021 before that play lol

I agree on 14. But a 2 and a 3? Absolutely. I’ll never understand why folks are scared to give up some extra draft capital for an immediate impact player. Obviously a move like this is designed for the short term goal of winning a SB now. Sometimes that move is just what a team needs to get over the hump.

2 and a 3 is a pretty hefty price for a rental if you're not going to sign long term. To be honest, we're not a Deebo Samuel away from being a SB contender. It's still just one football with a lot of mouths to feed.

So unless he's going to develop into a solid pass protector, rush the QB, or cover in the secondary, I'm not giving up significant draft capital for him, when I already have playmakers at receiver.

Plus, theoretically, I could just draft my own Deebo Samuel with a 2 or a 3, considering he was a 2nd round pick to begin with.

I would be more excited with the acquisition of Deebo with a creative OC / offense. Sadly, we don’t have that.. so it’ll cap the potential of this trade
