Signings, Cuts, Trades

Real talk though... we always make fun of dudes for taking the big money and signing with losing teams, but motivations are different. I will never blame a player for going close to home. When you think about it, it's wild that guys have to uproot their lives and move elsewhere based on a draft. If being close to home brings him comfort, all the power to him.
If I had made good money already, I would absolutely leave the Brady Patriots or the Mahomes Chiefs for a chance to play on the Huntley Ravens

IDK, it’s completely normal for high earners in all walks of life to have to move away/around, and for sports pros it’s a comparatively short period of time. But it definitely bears more weight in making contract decisions later in a player’s career.
Yeah and that's not wrong, but he made a choice to go back home and I can't fault him for that. Would guess he's not a Panther right now if he wasn't from the area.

2/24 adds to that homely feeling a lot.

I would guess that whatever we were offering Clowney will be more than enough to re-sign Van Noy with a bit left over.

Just as long as they don't spend any more of it on core special teamers. With kick offs now turning into running plays it just reduces the value of a Chris Board a little further.

Punts are still a thing
They are, but that's still quite a reduction in the need for a traditional special teams specialist.

Last season, our special teams were the worst they'd been in years and we still got the No.1 seed, so maybe it didn't matter all that much anyway, even before the change.

Been that way for years now. Kick returns haven’t mattered much for a long time and it has not changed how we build a team.

Maybe it should. Teams punt much less than they used to.

It won't matter much this year, when the roster probably won't have its usual depth, but going forward I'm not sure they need to care as much as they do. With special teams, I think you don't need to be great. as long as you're not actively bad.

A punt return had us nearly shitting ourselves in the playoffs last year

Random… but these new Diddy drama pretty much confirm to me that he had Biggie killed :(

Don’t know yet. It’s shaping out to be that he had cameras set up at his parties and blackmailed people.

Like Jeffrey Epstein….

I’ve always thought if you are good enough to not worry about money as a nfl player, I would chose cities over teams often. 10 mil to live in Detroit over 8 mil tax free in Miami? What do you even do in cities some of these cities with 10 mil lol?

So Dobbins visited the Chargers today lol..... guess he forgot why he was so mad at Greg Roman after the loss to the Bengals.

Kind of crazy when you think about it.

At the same time, if he stays here he would not be RB1, and maybe not even RB2.

If he goes there, assuming health, he is the top back
