Signings, Cuts, Trades

Why is this a story in Lamar's case and not in Mahomes' or Allen's?

Their agents must be notoriously hard to work with cunts? They don't care about their teams being able to bring / keep good players?
I mean when Mahomes signed his extension it was a 10 year deal so everyone just went "well in 3 years itll be cheap for the next 7". Then Josh Allen signed for less than Mahomes and then less than Dak so it was hard to say he was maximizing his money. To be the difference between 43 and 46 largely doenst matter but thats how he kept the narrative.

A lot of people who are giving us flak for this is forgetting what you said. The new league year hasn't started, from Monday to 4PM today, teams and players have the right to pull out of deals if they choose. Once the new league year begins, everything is official.

I do wonder if we try to go back and up the offers on some players to get them to change their mind in the less than 2 hours to go.
Only ravens fans gave ZDS shit when he backed out of our deal, nobody else gave a fuck they all thought it was funny

Yep all of this is accurate as well. Don't think the Raiders were necessarily trying to pull one over on anyone, but they just had more optimism related to the state of his knee and thought they were in the clear. A whole host of other people thought otherwise. And I'm sure if you kept extending that pole, some would jump on the Raiders side too. Just open to interpretation and the level of risk you're willing to assume.
Crosby's knee is bone-on-bone since 2023 apparently

I'm so happy out Chidobe is back. He was incredible last year and frees up a lot of what we can do with the defense. Corner room can use one more mid round pick maybe but might be pretty solid
Still think you need to be looking at a longer term solution there because in 2027 you’ve got Wiggins and ???

But this does make this unit unquestionably better for 2026

Njoku has surprisingly been more of a Y-TE than you'd think, whereas Mark Andrews has been more in the slot than you'd guess. So I think these two would pair pretty well together. Obviously would depend on the price, but we've seen what Njoku can do when he had a QB that can deliver him the football.
He blocks well, too. Sort of ideal player for Doyle.

Because I'm a visual person, on a presumed 53ish...

11 draft picks to fill 15 holes, and we know they're going to sign more guys too. C is the gaping hole right now, and then you're probably looking at WR, TE, Edge, and S being the other key spots where you'd like to add as of now, pending cuts and health of a couple of guys.

Bringing Awuzie back makes sense. Jessie Minter defense does involve zone conerages and Awuzie was the best at it out of the rest of the corners.
