The Playoffs, The Playcalling and The Refs

Am I right to be worried about what happens in the playoffs? All of sudden when we face good defenses we are really shaky, if we have to see the patriots, Steelers, or bills in the playoffs I will officially be shitting my pants
I get what you’re saying but I think it’s a bit of an overreaction. We’ve had some short weeks, jet lag, bad offensive play calling on our part, and some not-so-ideal weather. I have full confidence that we’ll clean up a lot of this stuff up, especially if we have a first round bye.

yeah cant wait for week 16 because we finally get a long week and some rest days

Yanda had a rough game today based on my eye test. infact, aside from stanley, no one wowed me on the offensive line

I think we are getting blinded by our own success these past few weeks to realize how well we did considering the following:

Bills had a Thursday game before this meaning they had extra rest/prep time

Bills were at home

Bills needed a W to keep up with New England and we are basically coasting at this point meaning they have extra motivation

Andrews, our #1 target, was out for most of the game

Bills have a top 5 defense

We just played a tough game against the 49ers and the Bills played a cupcake in Dallas

and they were 100% healthy with not a single player injured.

It’s really weirdly inconsistent, it’s either perfect or shit
It’s the nature of our scheme, we are a sell out defense and count on our corners to isolate and do their jobs. What happens is teams finally dial up the stretch we stick with our scheme expecting teams to set up play action and then pass it, and we’ll be ready for it, but then teams just go hurry up and stretch us out all the way down the field.

Dude he's a rookie. Not everyone will shine immediately. I still want to get Johnathon Taylor in the second if he falls that far though

a rookie RB ( easiest positon to make an impact) on THIS offense with THIS scheme?

He sucks

I like etienne for this team. He’s a home run hitter and a half, and he’s VERY downhill, if he develops his receiving game he would be deadly here.

I’m obviously not looking for a RB in the first but if we drafted etienne at the end of 1 then I’d be excited

Etienne at the 32nd pick YES

EXPLOSIVE

I agree, running backs are the easiest position to make an impact, but he doesn't get many opportunities either. Tough to make an impact with only a couple carries.

Well it does appear that teams with an athletic D are making the appropriate adjustments

It’s now Roman’s move because he failed miserably today .
Here’s why I’m concerned. The right defenses have found a method, and Roman hasn’t countered, and neither has Lamar.

For me the obvious solution should be to NEVER leave an empty backfield, because it takes away the single biggest advantage we have and that’s the RPO, even if we are designing a straight up pass play on third and long, pistol with Ingram and play fake, every single time. Lamar didn’t do well in the empty sets today and they blitzed him
Heavy and he didn’t respond.

That, along with using the receivers. Where the hell is boykin? Snead? These guys have shown that they can make plays, use them. The TEs have been blanketed lately, we have to take advantage

Our TE's scored 2 of the td's today.
