I don't the the C will be a big improvement on Zuttah or he would have started last year. Other than that it's last year's line minus Wagner and that wasn't good enough to get us over 20 points very often. The Bengals and Steelers have added even more on offence. I don't see us holding them to under 20 points.
Have you seen our defense? I mean it was one of the best in the league last year and we have improved drastically in basically every area

Exactly my thought, plus an in house coach thinks Timmy Williams has what it takes to be droy.

Timmy Willy has been one my DROY candidates from the first time I turned on his tape.

I've never seen a smaller edge rusher play with the power that he plays with, he's got one of the fastest speed rushes in the league already and plays with the power of a guy 10 lbs heavier, all the while having pretty damn refined skillset. Not to mention he clearly loves football and he speaks with a team first mentality. He plays with so much intensity.

Obviously, I'm a fan. Like holy shit I'm still ecstatic that we got him and in the THIRD ROUND

I decided @Truth had a good idea in moving these posts into its own bread as they kind of derailed the OL thread.

Looking forward to seeing what our new additions over the past couple years can contribute. I have a ton of optimism.

He has some tremendous moves. Love his spin move especially.

And his inside counter move. "But the analytics state he's going to be a backup". Peyton Manning didn't have a great arm, Drew Brees was too small, MJD was too short, Aaron Donald was too small, and Mack didn't have a true position, and Malcom Butler was a complete unknown. Analytics do not matter as much as most think. They're a good tool, but should never EVER be taken as gospel. It's a combination of several things, with the most important being tape.

Don't get too excited. We don't want to continue jinxing our players now, do we?

Amen. You'd be very hard pressed to find a single person who has extensively watched williams tape who doesn't think he will be an excellent rush specialist at worst.

If Analytics were the end-all of pass rusher success, Aaron Curry, Vernon Gholston and Aaron Maybin would have been perennial All-Pros

Urban is who I see as the starter and the end receiving the most snaps replacing Guy in our base.

The hope may be that Kaufusi has bulked up, developed enough Technique- strength wise to begin seeing more time. Especially as I like him more as a pass rusher.

I'd rather see Wormley as a three tech or even as nose tackle on passing downs.

If orr stayed, we would probably have one of the top front sevens in lg.
If Orr stayed, he could have been hurt even worse, or maybe even died. Nothing could have been done differently, so stop complaining.

We lost timmy, guy and orr. Timmy can be replaced but orr and guy cant
Guy can, Chris Wormley will be as good as him from day one. Orr was excellent but let's not forget he was UDFA, there's a reason for that. Our coach know how to raise LBs, so no need to overreact. And Orr was pretty bad in coverage honestly, we now have an already top tier coverage backer in Tyus Bowser, and two decent zone cover LBs in Mosley and Correa.

It's always interesting to see the nicknames, and alternative names people give to players, sometimes I scratch my head at them lol.

Tim Williams for example : I've seen Timmy Williams or Timmy Willy, and I'm thinking jeez the man is already going by Tim which is short for Timothy.

Or Marlontron I still wonder who started that one on the old forums :06:

The hand that Orr was dealt was tragic, and it was highly unfortunate that it came after his most active season, especially given that he's a high character person. That being said, his production shouldn't entirely irreplaceable. He had a tough time against the run on tape despite the tackles numbers and often fell victim to either over-pursuing or being blocked out of the play. I'm interested in seeing who steps up at the ILB spot next to C.J. Mosley.
