The hand that Orr was dealt was tragic, and it was highly unfortunate that it came after his most active season, especially given that he's a high character person. That being said, his production shouldn't entirely irreplaceable. He had a tough time against the run on tape despite the tackles numbers and often fell victim to either over-pursuing or being blocked out of the play. I'm interested in seeing who steps up at the ILB spot next to C.J. Mosley.
This will be an interesting development, for sure. Will it be Correa or will it be a combination of Tyus Bowser and Correa

I'd argue that Wormley is a potential upgrade (albeit slightly) over Guy, and that Bowser is an easy upgrade over Orr(who was SUPER overrated).
I actually think Bronson could do what Timmy could.

Still hate you for trading him Ozzie. Was still dumb.

I'm certainly hoping that Kaufusi is better than Timmy. Timmy was so inconsistent and if you want to talk about overrated by some, he is one of them. I was a fan of the trade and feel we received decent value, moving up 3/4 of a round. Bowser playing the Jamie Collins role and hopefully Correa finally develping will be good for the defense. Wormley shouild be a really good upgrade and a very good fit in our defense. He was playing out of position in Michigans d.

As Sami pointed out, Wormlzy's 2015 tape is pretty ridiculous. Making OT look like pee wee kids and making OG look like potato bags.

I did and it burst my bubble!!! I was big on Hageman too but I should know better than to put too much stock in highlight reels
So do you buy the horseshit about Tim Williams basically being a bust? Because they said his level of production has never led to a pro bowl player, even though Tim Williams averaged a sack every 10 snaps, and that's overall snaps, not just pass rushing snaps.

I don't see how Wormley is a total bust. Very high floor imo. Can anyone tell me why they think his floor's not that high? Want to hear different perspective.

Lol no I didn't see any analytics video, but I did come across Jim Coberns metrics site that projects the careers of prospects after their college career and again after the combine/pro day. I don't usually put stock into metrics but he made some good points. He also projected Williams as a rotational edge rusher and Jeremy Maclin's career as a Raven.

For all we know he could be a beast. He gets knocked for his age and PFF production profile where they compare sacks, pressure rate, tackles-for-loss, market share of solo tackles and age of prospects, BUT to be fair he did play on the edge which makes his profile look different to his peers on the interior.

When they say production do they mean "per-snap" production (which would be surprising to see Williams graded poorly for) or do they mean "gross" production- which would make sense since he did spent a lot of time at Bama as a part-time pass-rush specialist?

Gross production. It's basically "no player with his market share of sacks and tackles bla blah has ever become a pro bowler" and "no pro bowler has ever played at such a low snap count" but measures these things totally independent of each other.

So, in this case, correlation = causation, it's known and even acknowledged, yet it's disregarded in the analytics.

To call Tim Williams unproductive is a total lie, the numbers say he is one of the most efficient pass rushers to ever play college ball, and he has tape showing an incredibly explosive high motor and refined edge rusher to support the numbers. Also to bash his snap count is absurd, when you have a pass rusher of his caliber and the greatest front seven in college ball history, keep the legs fresh, let the others do the dirty work. Not to mention the tape showed a pretty decent run defender

More than decent, actually never understood the critics about his run defense. He's excellent at setting the edge and forcing RB to look the other way. Excellent leverage and hand placement force OT back 90% of the time.
