WR/RB Thread

Here's what it's like when Camp is on the field.

There goes the ankle, there goes the knee, there goes the hammy... but, but it's only soft tissue.

At some point Camps body has to catch up....he and woodhead on 3rd downs....smh

I've figured it out. Have you ever seen the show The Following with Kevin Bacon? Well the villain in that show has a cult, with the confidant of the villain being a former cop and someone very close to him...

Campanaro = Harbaugh's second in command. I've figured it out. He's "hurt" all the time so Harbaugh can test his new methods. Harbaugh is an evil genius

This line is getting old. What do you mean Joe doesn't trust him?

Because he's not throwing to him? That's wrong and even if it was it would be a pointless argument given how much target the WR group as a whole has gotten and how few and far between the attempts at deep passes have been.
Because he's had a drop and an over the middle catch he couldn't collect? Because there has been some miscommunication between the two on one play? Please. We're talking about professionnal football players here, not Donald Trump selecting his government. Joe is a QB that loves the big play and everytime he's dialed it up to BP, he was rewarded. They've worked together in the offseason. Joe could find him day in day out in OTAs and minicamp.
But for 3 plays that didn't work (not like they were supposed to give much either) Joe is going to stop trusting Perriman? Come on. You could make that argument for any other receiver except Watson. Even Maclin just has 2 TDs and that's it.

Just curious if it's not chemistry or anything related to that then what could it be? If a player simply cannot play or anything of that nature, you usually hear about it prior to the season from coaches. Before his injury Perriman was said to be having the best off-season out of everyone and that came from Pitta. Usually coaches talk up a player and you can pass it off as just words of encouragement, but when players do it you can definitely say its legit because its not often that they do. Even Jimmy has given him praise and you don't often see a defensive back do that.

There's a reason why he hasn't tumbled down the depth chart and it's because the guy can play. Usually you see teams be ruthless to 1st round picks by what you've seen with what the Vikings and Eagles have done with Laquan Dreadwell and Nelson Agholor. Some people might say that because he's a 1st round picks we've been handing him opportunities but you don't see Maxx Williams get that type of treatment. The coaches made it known that there are parts of his game he has to fix and he's usually 3rd on the TE depth chart and clawing for targets. Nick Boyle and Ben Watson are coming from time off and even they're higher than him on the depth chart and snap counts.

Joe might love big plays but we haven't seen him even attempt a single pass. We know Joe could air it out, he doesn't even need to hit Perriman on target, just simply throw it deep just to keep the defense on its heels and yet we haven't seen that once.

Camp really needs to get it together with this injury bug. If he wasn't as good as he Is then he would've been cut already.

Dont get me wrong I like Camp as a player a lot, I'm just sick of him being hurt all the time. At least he's off the injury report today.

It's not the first time Ravens have hyped up WRs in training camp. And watching Perriman's practice highlights, you'd agree.

Once hitting starts, everything is different.

Definitely not but Perriman's circumstance is different. I don't think its often said by a player that someone else is having the best off-season here. I don't recall a player on this team hyping someone else like that. How often have we heard Ravens players hype up Perriman the way Pitta and Wallace has? In response to what Perriman's doing the Ravens have also placed him highly on the depth chart, if I can recall before his injury or when the first depth chart was released he was named the starting receiver. I definitely recall that he was going to be the starting at the start of the 2015 season when Kamar broke out for us. I don't think the Ravens have responded in this way with any other receivers who have had starting caliber players along side of him.

Yep, seen the show and I think you hit the nail on the head.

He made it through practice today too.

I am a fan of the kid. Really. I feel bad for him. Maybe he needs to drink more milk or something I don't know, but tons of potential, just sitting there.

I vote for something, might help to ease the pain.

I became a huge Camp fan watching him at Wake and hoped he would somehow end up a Raven. When we traded for a 7th and picked him up I was ecstatic as I knew he had the talent and cojones to be an X factor type player. Sadly, his body is just not holding up and while I remain hopeful that things will change, I think it's ore likely they don't.
