He was crying on the sideline too after dropping one. He knows he fucked up

he could have got to play with Lamar and Hollywood and Mark Andrews on an ascending offence but instead he gets to watch Sammy Watkins outperform him for less money than he was offered in the role he was offered to play in that anaemic offence with Big Ben who at this point is as statuesque as the clock tower

he could have played in a bombs away downfield deep passing attack and instead is playing in that steelers attack lol

he's in the bottom 5 in the league in terms of ADOT right now when he could have been a raven (or even a chief)

Good. Never wanted Juju. He will also never be the guy. Not saying he's a bad wr but will never be a AB level threat he might have thought he was.

If someone told me the passing offense would like this WITHOUT Bateman I do t know how I would have reacted. With him coming back... I so damn hype. Team should be in rhythm by the time our schedule really picks up late.

I forgot we're still waiting for Boyle to come back.

I was lukewarm on juju to begin with, and I hope our team takes it personal that he made the decision the way he did, and kicks the shit out of him when we play them and I hope Sammy goes tf off against them

Boyle should make a massive difference honestly

Totally agree. Interesting that many of us on this board were pissed we didn't draft JuJu and took Bowser instead. Now I'm glad we have Bowser over JuJu. Yes there were other great players available on the board at that time, but that isn't part of my statement.

To be fair JuJu has been good historically. Big Ben just looks like a shell of shell of himself. Almost depressing to watch but i still enjoy it

I still can't believe he chose the Steelers over the Ravens AND Chiefs. It makes no sense.

I get shuning us from his perspective. The Chiefs though? When the deal initially went down, I assumed the FO told him play for 1 year and we'll give you a contract next season when there's more money available. Problem is he's going to cost himself money with Ben's shitty play.

His best play came on the other side of AB. Imagine the payday he would receive playing next to Hill with a QB that is leagues better then that version of Ben.

Insane.

he hasn't been that good since 2019, yes Ben is far from the QB he used to be, but they also pass more and he is #3 in the depth chart.

I'm not convinced. People talk about the KC passing attack as prolific, which it is, but I'm not sure there's a ton or production to be had from the #3 target in that offense. Like I think he's better than Pringle or Hardman, but I don't see like a thousand yard receiver in that group. Chiefs spread the ball around to their other players, and Hill and Kelce, barring injury, are going to be target hogs no matter who is there.

The last two healthy years for Ben, I don't think there's anybody in the league that comes close to being as pass heavy as the Steelers. If you're a receiver and want targets, it's like going to back to 2011-2014 Detroit Lions. It's that juicy in terms of getting the ball thrown your way.

The Chiefs are not that. You'll get a better QB in a better offense with a better play caller and a much better chance to win, but that doesn't mean that you personally will succeed more in that offense. Really just depends on what your goals are.

I mean 8.6 YPC and 9 TDs last year is nothing to scoff at. But ultimately I’m really glad we saved the 9 Mil and he stayed with Pitt.

For some guys it's more difficult to leave a place. He has had a great time there (bike, driver's license etc..) so i do understand why he chose to stay for roughly the same money

I stand corrected 8.6 since he plays mostly in the slot is pretty decent and so are the 9 touchdowns. However he was playing more outside the previous year with 13 ypc and only 3 touchdowns and 552 yard. He has been inconsistent lately and has fallen off tremendously this season. I suspect part of that is not being the #2 anymore and Ben falling off a cliff, which started last season.

With Rossi bringing up the 2017 Jags game decided to look in the game thread. Fun trip down memory lane. If only we knew what would happen the very next draft.

@Davesta asked this gem around the time of the fake punt "The question is: saquon Barkley or a QB first round?"

Ozzie did one better.
