was thinking this about marlon the other day with the car tweet to hamilton
obviously wasnt serious but why put a young dude who you've never met before in that position

they clearly love him and his personality on the field but you're right that he doesn't seem to change off the field as much as other guys... then again i guess maybe he's just young and never not been "the guy" - he's still only 25 despite being this all-pro, long-term vet

but hazing should have no place in sports - that practice is banned at all UK universities for a reason

things like the rookie talent show are kinda fun - as long as guys know that they can opt out of it if they're uncomfortable
It was at this moment where I realized MARVIN's personality is definitely.......................................unique.

Exactly!!! The thing I don't like most about Duvernay is that he might be taken snaps away from the other 2. I don't need to go through it again but I said from the year they were drafted Proche was better than Duv and I had a RD2 grade on Tylan. I'm VERY excited about Tylan. I just don't want to see Duv out there too much when these other guys could be out there
Duv reminds me of Chris Moore

I mean maybe but at that time was there any evidence of him doing outlandish or criminal bullshit? I could be wrong but I don't think so. I don't think his market was slow because of character concerns I think he just wanted a huge deal. You heard him say it when he signed. He didn't care about Baltimore at all. Just that we were the first big offer he was looking for.
I remember him saying sth like having a one-year 10M offer that he was going to accept until we robbed a bank to get him. Which to me sounded strange already then. Note that I am not trying to pretend I knew he was a lunatic, but that I was surprised our was the only big offer he got.

And I agree, there was no official lunacy on him at that time, but teams tend to hear things we don't. Just sayin'...

Yeah they might have some sense from others around the league but I'm sure no matter what they heard or knew, this type of behavior was probably totally unpredictable.

I have a really good feeling Ojabo is going to be ready to play much sooner than people anticipate. 5 to 7 months puts him on the field in October at the latest and if we retain Houston or sign Ingram, we can use Ojabo situationally and get him back up to speed. So damn exciting. I’m sure it’s been said on here, but even Ojabo is confident he could be ready by the start of the season lol

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I'm not the biggest fan of Marlon's personality lol. I feel like he might actually be a little bit difficult to be friends with. He's just so odd and unrelenting with his takes. And because he's such a good and confident football player I think a little bit of that arrogance creeps into his real life personality. Love Marlon the player and the team mate, but I can tell he's a little out there for me. You can tell such a difference between someone like Marlon and Tony Jefferson on his latest studio 44 show. I'm pretty sure anyone could get along with Tony.

But on a similar but slightly unrelated topic, why is there still hazing in football and honestly other professions in general? Idk what you get out of it other than older people getting to laugh at younger ones for no actual reason other than they're younger. Idk didn't like that shit when I was in college, not a fan of it now either.
I liked the beer chugging !

You see its not about the stats themselves I think. If you really listen to what he said he said 2 things.

1 he didn't feel heard. And when he would bring things up APPARENTLY it would get turned back on him as selfish when from his perspective, he was just trying to help.
I think we have to consider the type of offense Hollywood Brown was coming from when he was in college and compare it to Greg Roman offense. It's just not the same kind of offense and the philosophy is different. I honestly don't think Brown would have been happier in a Gary Kubiak offense either. I admit that Kubiak offense isn't the same as Romans but the philosophy isn't majorly different.

I think that was one of the reasons why Stefon Diggs wanted to be traded from The Vikings due to the same reasons as Brown.Hollywood Brown is a finesse type of player and Roman offense just doesn't suit his style. The Cardinals offense is more passing heavy and overall suits him more. At the end of the day Hollywood Brown is concerned about himself financially and I ain't mad at him for that.

i think important to remember that when he comes back he's going to take some time to get acclimated - he'll have had no offseason and will have never played at an NFL speed before - even when he's finally cleared, it'll most likely be multiple weeks before he's ready to go

and if we're doing fine already, we should make sure we take our time bringing him back - id rather have him ready to go in december/january than have him in early november and not be ready

when he gets up to speed he's likely going to be used situationally in year 1

I totally agree and I'd expect when he finally starts to play for us to use him as a pass rush specialist.

there are schedule rumors that I've heard via twitter, so take it for what it's worth, but the rumor is that we will be playing the Browns in week two.

Hamilton wouldve been the softest guy in nfl if he wouldve bought that lol..

Yeah I think Marlon is as you said kind of a hot shot guy but who's still just kinda immature off the field. On the hazing thing, you probably saw that Hamilton mentioned someone was sending him messages about buying dinners but wouldn't name names. You could tell although it's largely harmless Hamilton felt it was annoying just as I'm sure all rookies across the league feel when it comes to this stuff
wait so hamilton was crying about it?

Not crying lol or even complaining really. You should just watch the video it's only a couple minutes. He just acknowledged it was happening and he doesnt seem particularly happy about it. But no he handles the fact that it's happening with class.
