The Random Thought Thread

Hmmmmm... so you're telling me we have shot at #1 seed with the easiest schedule rest of the way

Pretty good shot even yes. With the Bills losing that puts them 0-2 in the division with a tough schedule going forward including Vikings, Bengals, Dolphins, Jets, and Patriots 2x (they might not even win that division which creates a different problem). Titans have Bengals, Eagles, and Chargers left so they could easily lose 2-3 more. Chiefs have Chargers, Bengals, and Seahawks and losing 1 more (if they lose tonight) would put them outright behind.

We just need to win the games we’re supposed to, which is a BUNCH of them. I don’t care how ugly it is. Win and limit injuries.
Oh! You better believe they will be both heart-wrenching and butt-ugly!

Fun game last night , but jeez let Malik throw the ball a little more. I get you want to protect the kid , but that was odd to watch.

Idk.. i cant see jets beating kc or bills in a playoff game
Considering they'll play a division winner in wildcard round, they're not beating anybody in the playoffs on the road. I don't think they'll beat Buffalo, Miami, Ravens, Bengals, Chiefs or even Titans in a playoff game.

It seems like every week Jerome Boger is at the center of inept officiating. I don't like to blame stuff on the refs but I do believe this single individual is clearly not up to par with the rest of officials.

Baker is playing scout team DE in practice. Is his career actually just over? Will he journey from team to team as a QB2?
Looking for award to Watsons time in Cleveland taking him down a similar path.

I hear @rossihunter2 and figure he is onto something that the change in playstyle has a lot to do with it but I do wonder why it also seems to be causing an increase in turnovers. Note unlike points I do not have numbers to back this but it feels like we are seeing a lot more turnovers this year compared to years past when they seemed to be falling every year.

more plays forces more patience which forces more opportunities for mistakes or restlessness
and also with more zones on the back end, that's more defensive eyes on the ball which makes it easier for defenders to make plays on the ball - my guess is those are the 2 biggest contributing factor to any hypothetical increase in turnovers

Why's everyone so hype about Reich? Didn't he just have terrible season after terrible season? Even with elite running backs and some decent skill position players?

Worst case scenario ? Reich has our fullback running the route tree like Roman.

I suppose the culprit is lack of quality QB play there, but I agree, he wouldn't be high on my list of replacements if we went that route.
