Agree with the premise, but the two aren't really comparable due to the financial commitment. Like its easy to say "give Justin Tucker the bag", because great kickers make like $5M a year.

Andrews cost $14M/year with $30M gtd. Depending on how you comp Madubuike, I would guess he'll cost around $23M a year with at least $50-60M in gtd $. That's a sizeable price difference.

JM was smart to bet on himself. Can't keep them all, especially with a QB off rookie deal. We will make due as we have in the past. I'm assuming we will keep one of our top free agents .... that we drafted.

I saw yesterday, he is running a treadmill with 70% body weight applied to that leg and reckons the biggest jump during rehab will be on-field work, lateral movements. But confident he'll be good, considering how it all feels now.

Has any player in history torn an Achilles and come back in the same season?

In other sports players do occasionally return from an Achilles in 3 or 4 months. It's not common but not unheard of. Treatments have improved lately.

I think that has maybe passed football fans by because a 3 or 4 month injury is still season ending in football, so it feels like a year long recovery to fans.
