The Random Thought Thread

Didn't we sign Henry to essentially a 1 year deal with an optional second year? Now is the time to talk about an extension to ensure he's here for another couple years.

Henry's under contract for next season with a cap hit of 10.8m. That will probably be restructured with a voidable year or two in the offseason.
 
Would’ve been cool if we drafted tj watt instead of marlon Humphrey. Anyone else ever have that thought? Like, we were linked, it was a popular mock.

I was a big advocate for TJ Watt but liked a lot of players in that draft. Among them, Marlon Humphrey. I also recall DM'ing you regarding Humphrey during that years forum mock.

almost as cool as us not cutting James Harrison and avoiding years of torture

I hope so, I want to see the Lamar & Henry duo for a good 2-4 years lol. Then we draft someone similar to Henry to keep it going lol.

We along with 31 other teams could have drafted Tom Brady and won a bunch of Super Bowls too. Tom Brady with Ray Lewis & Ed Reed on defense in their prime....... that would have been amazing.

I liked Humphrey too. Watt had the injury risk tied to him but that turned out to be absolutely nothing and it’s really a shame we didn’t take the best player from that class
 
The fact that people say Justin Fields name in the same sentence as Lamar is sickening.

I've said it for years now, Mahomes is the best player in the NFL because of his post season winningness. But after Mahomes, it is Lamar at number 2 and the drop from 2 to 3 is enormous.

You can argue all you want about who 3 is and I'll say ok whatever yawn because it's boring how inconsequential that player is compared to Lamar or Mahomes.
