It would be hilarious if AB acts like a normal person now
After seeing that video of him calling his grandmother, I feel he will. It erased all doubt in my mind that this was all planned out. I hope the Patriots know what they are getting into when they sign him on Monday, because I believe Goodell will open up an investigation and probably suspend AB multiple games for this. I wouldn’t be surprised if they give the Raiders a compensatory pick(s) when this is all said and done. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see the Patriots lose a pick, if they tampered with how this all went down. IMHO, this is the kind of thing that really tarnishes the NFL shield and the Patriots seem to always be in the middle of it lately.

Well at the end of the day he should be suspended for breaking California's Wiretapping laws when he illegally recorded a phone conversation with Jon Gruden without Gruden's consent. If charged for this, he would face 16 months to three years in jail. So karma is going to come and get him no matter what.

"California makes it a crime to record or eavesdrop on any confidential communication, including a private conversation or telephone call, without the consent of all parties to the conversation."
Lmao he wont face any time.. you really wishing prison time on the dude? Cmon man.

Is it because it happned so fast that people thinks its tampering? im a bit confused now

I dont see how its collusion without evidence, he wanted out and joined the best team. If the best player at his position is a FA and the best team has capspace who else would he call? is there another team that makes more sense if youre a WR? is there another FA WR who makes more sense than AB? I think he just played everybody.

Wait a minute. I believe their is some pre-planned actions and collusion on the part of AB and the Patriots. We'll see if Goodell investigates.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Rosenhaus didn’t already have the particulars of a deal worked out with NE.

Davis stuck it out on plenty of trash squads. When are people going to hold these franchises responsible for not doing their part.
He did, but you didn't think it was all a big coincidence that the new Pelicans GM, Griffin, was the GM when LeBron was with the Cavs and the Pelicans just so happen to get the #1 pick?

I may be the only person to think this, but I literally have no expectations for this season even I should. Now don't get it twisted, I'm very hopeful that we can build upon last season but I dunno man. Hoping for the best.

I don’t want the guy to go to prison. However, it wouldn’t be okay with me if this happened to the Ravens instead of the Raiders. It is not like we couldn’t be in the middle of something like this, I remember us agreeing to a deal with Terrell Owens and he acted like an ass and backed out on us. When the Raiders signed AB there were some members saying they got a steal only giving up a 3rd and 5th for a player of his caliber. I know owners and organizations can be just as guilty as players doing shady things, but two wrongs don’t make a right and this is the kind of thing that really turns me off. IDK, maybe I am just too old for all this kind of nonsense. When I start feeling like the fix is in, which I am kind of feeling here, it taints the way I feel about the NFL.

I think it was that video that did it for me. I think that video is making a lot of people stop and question this whole thing. This whole thing started last season because of money, so I am convinced that he wouldn’t have been running around his backyard jumping for joy and calling his grandmother so ecstatic about being released if he did not know it was already a done deal with the Patriots. IMHO, it is all about the money with AB. That is cool, it is a free world and I don’t hate the guy, but I fully admit it makes me think about all the power-washing and yard work I need to get done instead of watching games today.

I'm pretty convinced that Brown got released on purpose. I'm in two minds about whether the Pats were in the loop because I bet every FO has discussed what they might pay AB given the way things were going in Oakland.

But for the two sides to agree in a few hours? On the one hand, an apparently off the rails diva-type player who's one of the best in the league and knows it. On the other, a pragmatic team who just watched him implode and act completely irrationally. They would surely be a bit gun-shy about his behaviour. Unless they knew. They hashed it out in a couple of hours, with $10m in guarantees for a player who just showed himself to be unmanageable - surely you give very little guaranteed and make sure he earns every penny? Unless they knew.

Then again, for a player as good as AB the contract is cheap. Maybe they think they can manage it better. Free cap is wasted cap.

What happens next will probably let us know either way.

People are just grasping at straws, two days ago everyone was laughing well not anymore. I sure as hell dont want AB on the Pats, I hate the fcking Pats but that pairing makes sense without tampering assumptions, AB probably saw something he didnt like and got out of dodge again.

Overall its bad for the AFC, but we've beaten the Pats before and can do it again.

Take the Pats out of it because obviously that's all conjecture right now - if there's any hint that AB got released on purpose you have to investigate, and if there's any evidence you have to hand out a harsh punishment. You just can't have players weaseling out of contracts like that. If it was a Ravens player you'd be fuming.

You know the NFL will slap the Patriots on the wrist and nothing will happen. I can't wait till Brady retires and they drop to last place in the league soon lol.

Pats didnt have to tamper. Its the pats. Name a nfl wr that wouldnt wanna go there. Deal probably took 10 mins to get done

I wish I could laugh this off, I really do. Two days ago, I was actually thinking that AB was just losing it and was genuinely concerned for the guy. Believe it or not, I actually felt a little sorry the Raiders had to deal with it all and I was relieved that it was not the Ravens. At no time did I laugh, about any of it. Now, I am convinced AB played everyone that was concerned, like I was, about his mental health. I feel like the Raiders were screwed hard, and I would be pissed if we were them. How would you feel if we lost a 3rd and 5th round pick and were forced to go through all that drama this preseason? IMHO, if you care about the integrity of the game, you have no choice but to hope a thorough investigation is conducted.
