is this in poor taste?
No.. Especially since Roethlisberger is a rapist.

Don’t look now but...
Tim Williams has 2 sacks on the year and may be the primary reason our run defense on the edge has improved. Since he’s been getting more snaps the past 2 weeks to spell ZDS and judon, our edge defense has looked better, and largely due to great awareness and block shedding from Tim, he himself has done great there, and again he has 2 sacks in 4 weeks.

he's been close even more often - and as he gets more consecutive snaps he'll be able to set up tackles and Olinemen which will only lead to more pressure

he might be especially important on this next run of games because we are playing lots of good OL: the steelers OL, browns new look OL (although there are opportunities to get around the edge), titans OL, saints OL...

Not saying the next two games are going to be easy, because they are not. I do believe we will win those games and lose the Saints game but coming out of the Saints game at 5-2 is a great start to the season.

I agree. The Browns are good but we're their first real test, and the Titans are mediocre as all hell. Neither game will be easy but I think we can beat both teams. We've never lost the Brees saints before, so all good things must come to an end. After that is the bye correct?

no, believe we play the steelers on 11/4 then head to the bye week and on 11/18 play the Bengals at home

I have a bit of a crazy idea that might solve the run games issues.
Trade for Mike Iaupati. Yes yes he’s not the same guy he used to be but he’s still a damn good run blocker and he has a ton of experience in this scheme. It might be a return home for him and it might do him very well.

Conditions are actually perfect. The cardinals are rebuilding and he’s a free agent, so it’s not like he’s going to stay there long term anyways, he’s older and recently took a pay cut and is not too expensive as a result with that. He’s very likely to leave anyways and I think we’d be a prime free agent destination for him because of his experience in this scheme. Sure the dude is 31, but he’s a lot better of a LG than either Hurst or Lewis and he’s had a lot of success in this scheme. He wouldn’t be the all pro he used to be but he’d be a definitive upgrade. Not too expensive, we wouldn’t have to give up too much. It’s a low risk high reward play that would benefit both parties.

Or - we could just freaking move Hurst to G and watch it fix our problems

Iaupati is still a better guard than Hurst and is better in this scheme too... Honestly, we do that and move Brown to RT that's a dominant run blocking offensive line and still a good pass protecting unit.

Your solution is easier but I think this is a lowkey move that could push the team over the top completely.

At the least I think we try to fix it in house first before trying to make a trade.

But with how things are going, they’d trade for laupati and still start Hurst at RT lmao

Not the worst thing ever, it's still an upgrade lol.
Honestly, I'd target him in FA next year hard. I know he's older, but if Yanda sticks around, Iaupati should be affordable and an ideal target(we've lowkey been poaching talent from the cardinals for the past two years). Assuming Yanda sticks around and doesn't retire, Iaupati could solidify the line. Yes, it'd be a very old guard tandem, but I think we're in "win now mode", and if that's the case, age be damned. Good players are good players.

For obvious reasons I didn't watch the Cards before Rosens debut and btw if you have time you should watch the "all of Rosens throws" video it shows Rosen's clearly overrated lol. But another older OG I don't know. You need to let the young guys play, OL is the the most difficult position for non-skill players to adapt to the NFL level. Iupati isn't quick enough on stunts and twists anymore. He also missed key blocks on GL running plays. And I'm not even counting the play where Reed ate him alive. For that reason I'd rather put Hurst @ LG as soon as Brown's ready

Iupati under Roman may have been the best guard in the league(the time period where yanda was ascending, rather than firmly seated on the throne) and I am fucking fully on board with that and forgot that guy even existed, Cardinals fucking suck. That’s actually brilliant

Did not realise this but here’s a fun stat that tells you just how balanced we are:

There’s only two teams in the league in the top 5 for both scoring offence and scoring defence...

The rams and the ravens
