The Random Thought Thread

No one may trade for RG3, but we may have to cut him with Canaday and Dixon... Others coming back. I just don't see them cutting bowser over RG3. The one thing that I find concerning is the lack of passing attempts from Lamar. I get that they're nervous about him throwing, but if he never throws, his plays will become too predictable. The fact that he has one passing attempt outside the Buffalo game really has me concerned. That's the one reason I could see RG3 staying, lack of total confidence in Lamar.
I seriously doubt they cut Rob. While Lamar is the game day back up, if Joe were to miss any subsequent time I’m pretty sure Rob would be the starting QB, that’s why they kept him.

Pittsburgh is sitting at home enjoying their win ... during the bye week.

Every other AFCN team has/will end the week with a loss.

And I think the Steelers play Cleveland after the bye so it's kind of like they get two byes.

Harbaugh's most recent press conference indicates that he wants to get Hayden Hurst more involved and that he was impressed with the rookies on the offensive line. Good, hopefully he keeps Bozeman and Brown in the lineup, and when James comes back we plug him at LG and move Bozeman to C. And get the rookie TEs involved, they're both super talented.

We just need to take a page out of KCs book. Look how they use Kelce. Hurst can be like a Kelce light and that would be amazing.

I now present you with the NFL's "They deserve(d) better" team of the 2010s.

QB: Phillip Rivers: I mean is there any doubt? Spanos took a guy with hall of fame numbers and made him irrelevant. Fuck you Spanos
RB: Steven Jackson: The poor guy puts up hall of fame numbers behind a bad offensive line and solidifies his place as one of the most underrated players in NFL history. Too bad his team was garbage. You put him on the Patriots we'd be discussing him among the best ever.
RB: Maurice Jones-Drew: Injuries ruined him, but yet another Jacksonville RB to not be remembered in any way, shape, or form. Thanks for ruining him Jaguars.
WR: Larry Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald is so good that he makes this list two decades in a row.
WR: Calvin Johnson. How to Detroit Lion. Find generational talent, he dominates, retires early because he realizes Lions are hopeless.
LT: Joe Thomas: All time great LT, played for the Browns.
LG: Steve Hutchinson: That's right, I went there.
C: Alex Mack: 28-3 will never die.
RG: Ben Grubbs: *leaves Ravens, Ravens win super bowl*
RT: Micheal Roos: Thanks a lot Titans

Defense
DL: JJ Watt. 3 DPOYs, no playoff success. He can only do so much
DT: Gerald McCoy. Garbage franchise for the majority of his career.
DL: Muhammed Wilkerson. No wonder he did not care his final few seasons.

OLB: Cameron Wake. Do I really need to explain this? He'd be a no doubt all time great NFL story if not for the fact that he played for the Dolphins.
ILB: Patrick Willis. Obvious
ILB: Daryl Smith. We wasted him too.
OLB: Julius Peppers. One of the most impressive careers ever... Never any true success. Two time member

CB: Patrick Peterson: One of the most impressive athletes the position has seen in awhile. Utter waste of talent.

FS: Eric Weddle. We screwed up here too.
SS: Eric Berry. Yes he beat cancer, but he's an all world dtalent with nothing to show from it.

Watching Blake Bortles play QB makes me physically sick. I'm honestly trying to keep from throwing up right now watching his... ahem, "highlights" from yesterday.

They have to do something. Either they are bringing Kaepernick or calling Gruden to check Carr's price.

Jalen Ramsey roasting the other 31 QBs in hindsight looks bad now.
It looked bad then because no trusted Blake and many wondered why he didn't look to his own locker room before talking shit about everyone else.

It's one thing to not be good but he is AWFUL. If I'm looking to tank I'm trading for him and Peterman and running a two qb system.

They're both so bad that they'd probably ruin that too

Did you see his press conference yesterday? He basically just said that Blake is obviously the problem but he can’t say it lol

Follow up :
“What you think, man?” Ramsey said, smiling and wide-eyed. “You all walk in here, you all see how it is in here, you all see how we vibe with each other, you all see how we vibe towards the coaches, you all see how it is.

“It is no secret what’s going on here right now. Ain’t nobody going to say it because we can’t, but it ain’t no secret what’s going on and it ain’t right right now.”

Also, I know Bozeman looked decent, but if we could send a 4th for Rodney Hudson I’d salivate. Something to get our run game finally going and acquire a pro bowl level center. Atleast I’m pretty sure he’s still a good player.

ESPN has a guy who said he texted the raiders an asked if anyone was off limits and he said no

Going based strictly off schedules, looking like the Bengals have the division in the bag. Only positive is that we usually seem to pick it up after the bye.

They will lose to the Saints and Steelers, and we need to force them into a loss also. I have good faith the chargers will take care of them if not the broncos. Best case they finish with 7 loses worst case 6. We need to finish a full game ahead because I doubt we can get the division tie breaker.

Steelers easily could easily lose 3 more games (only) and that includes the one against us. If we don't beat the Panthers we are 100% fucked because we need a full win over the steelers due to that stupid tie. We have never been able to go on winning streaks. When is the last time we won 4 games or more in a row

I found the last tine we won 5 games straight (if we want to win the division we really need to do that, unless if the other teams fuck up major)
Panthers -must win
Steelers MUST WIN
Bengals MUST WIN
Raiders complete shit team at home so I'm gonna say must win
Falcons are in the same exact place as the Raiders. We can kinda afford to lose this one but it will depend on
We need to come out of this atleast 4-1 to sit at 8-4. With away trips to San Diego and KC not looking fun this is vital.
