The Random Thought Thread

Not being a dick here but do you watch the All 22 or go to the games to get your assessments? I understand you may think that and respect your opinion but it’s really hard to grade secondary play especially for CB and deep safeties without using those methods unless it’s a short route.
Shoot, even seeing a short route, half of these people don't know coverages.

Who is this coverages and why haven’t I met him
I'd say 80% of the board hasn't met him. He's a mystery to all and usually takes the appearance of the closest defensive back. Just shout the name of the first person you see on the screen and get real mad. Then you will know "Coverages."

its either the closest player or the least popular between the closest lol

he is better fit for S. Pff also had impressive stats for hump.. watching the game shows that these
These players arent as impressive as the stats show.

dude - literally part of his versatility (likewise for other recent defensive weapons) is that he plays all over the back end which makes it difficult for the qb to key on what the defence is doing when he's on the field

I know he plays everyone on field. Everyone knows that.. im telling yo from what i seen in college and in pros, he is better at S than at CB.

and im telling you that he's been effective all over the field in the pros - he's a defensive weapon and part of his impact is that the offence doesnt know what role he's playing on a per snap basis or even just pre-snap

and from both positions he has one of the lowest passer ratings when targeted in the whole league

@DeVito52 since the season is more or less confirmed over(I have us getting blown out this week because injuries)..

END THIS FRANCHISE.

We should even cease to exist right? Since our future is clearly screwed. Let's just say "fuck it" and call it quits like the Hofstra football team.

#Nomoreravens
Excuse me, I went to Hofstra. Damn Jets. They moved the practice facility and the Hofstra basically shuts down the program, due to the cost of maintaining the program and fields.

Well atleast Hofstra hasn’t lost a game in years.....

From what Ive seen from pff and filmstudy his pass blocking and grading is good hes just not hitting on pulls and 2nd level targets at the same clip as he has in the past. Ive seen him lose his anchor a few times too, even Watt couldnt do that in the past. I still think at 95% hes All Pro.

how many times has he actually pulled this year - i dont remember seeing him pull once (im sure he has but i dont remember him pulling at all)

Lmao even madden players understand cvgs.
Yet a majority of football fans still couldn’t tell a cover 2 from a cover 1 or man from zone, and by majority I mean MASS majority. Madden players understand that the only way to beat a cover 2 is a deep slant or good timing on a deep in route, and that you beat cover 3 with a seam, they don’t “understand” coverages

Most Madden players run 4 verts and maybe 2-3 glitchy plays that's it.

Speaking of coverages, do you think some of the members here could put something together explaining coverages or defensive schemes? Kinda like a defense for dummies, which is what I am. I'm sure there are others on the board who would appreciate the extra knowledge as well.
