It could be the line, but Conner is running very well right now. He’s PLAYING LIKE one of the better backs in the league. I’d take last years alex Collins over this years Conner, but Conner is having a really good season.
I think the thing with Bell is that defenses key in on him so much and they still force feed him, while also getting too cute, lining him up at wr, passing way more often because he’s a threat as a receiver off the line and out of the backfield, they go a little pass crazy, with Conner they are actually running the ball and defenses are letting it happen.
Either way, based on what I’ve seen this year, I still say Conner is well above average. With an average OL and supporting cast he’s probably around the 15th range, but right now he’s playing like a top 10

Yeah no ones trading for Williams considering the far superior version of him (Damon Harrison) just got traded for a 5th and Williams contract is much more crippling with guaranteed and overall money. However, there are definitely players who won’t be apart of the future, that I believe could have garnered some draft picks (Carr, Weddle, Yanda, Jimmy etc). Not necessarily saying they should have done that since I have no idea just how interested teams could have been, but they’re doing themselves a disservice if they weren’t at least open to the idea.

I would have been open to trade some of the player you mentioned. Yanda and Carr are too valuable in my opinion and I'd rather keep them. Yanda doesn't talk much, executes his job at very high level and he's still a top 5 Guard. You won't get a fair compensation for the value he offers.
Carr isn't spectacular or a CB you want to leave on an island to cover Nr1 wrs, but he's still decent and he has never missed any games! That's something our other Cbs struggle with and we lost too many games because of this.

If there are any players I wouldn’t trade for the rebuild it’s sizzle and yanda. Suggs can’t go, he needs to be a Raven lifer and talk about the business aspect all you want but some players need to stick around til they hang it up, yanda is more a smart move because you don’t want lamar starting his career without him up front.
It’s too bad we don’t know whether the season is over or not, if we lost 1 more game and we’re sitting at 3-5 I’d say trade Mosley and jimmy because if that was our record then the rebuild would be imminent, but nope we’re gonna hold out hope and fall short again and end up picking 16th and we’re either gonna resign Mosley and regret it big time or we’ll get a comp pick for him.
I think at this rate, We’re gonna fall short, trade Flacco for a third, weddle, yanda, and Suggs are sadly gonna end their careers with an 8-8 record and retire when Flacco is traded and they see that the ravens are rebuilding and they won’t wanna stick around for that, we are gonna have some VERY down years after.

If those guys end their careers and retire it wouldn’t be because we traded Joe Flacco. I actually don’t think we have to rebuild we just need some smart decisions. I’m going to say right now I wouldn’t count on any FA OL because the NYJ have a ton of cap next year and I expect they’ll burn it according to the blurb I saw. I also don’t think we’re too far away on OL because I actually like our core I think we just need a strong C. Eric, go look at my boy Gaillard from Georgia and make it happen no matter what.

No man, time for everybody to move on. No need to be pessimistic about the rebuild. It didn't take too long for the Rams and Eagles. If Lamar pans out, no reason to think it would take long for us.

If they retire it won’t be because of a Flacco trade, but a Flacco trade = definite rebuild and it would certainly hurt their chances of coming back if they don’t think we can contend. And if yanda does retire, we’re siddenly pretty far away from a competent OL. Stanley’s injury history doesn’t help either.
But I believe that we are gonna inevitably manage to hover just below .500 for at least a year or 2, even if lamar is playing relatively well, I don’t expect him to be a consistent winning qb until at LEAST year 2 as a STARTER, if he takes over next year I think 2021 will be the earliest we see a winning season from lamar. But we will still probably win enough games to have us in purgatory.

Lamar is better than most people think.
True. But rebuilds are rebuilds and there aren't really any quality offensive pieces for Lamar to rely on at this point. It'll be like Watson without Hopkins, Wentz without Jeffery/Ertz, etc. Granted if Joe is out there's more cap money, but building a team through FA has always been fool's gold anyway.

I like lamar, a lot, I liked him going in, after the initial shock wore off and I realized his red carpet interview was more jitters than stupidity, I was very excited with the pick. However, he isn’t gonna come in and light it up right away, he still has so much to develop, mentally I think he’s there next year, 100%, however he will be able to target such a small percentage of the field that he’s gonna struggle. He can’t throw fades, and he’s so bad at it that I don’t think he’ll ever develop it, he can’t throw outs, or any outside breaking route really, and shockingly I think he’s gotta make better choices on the read option because. I think he can carve up everything between the numbers and up to 25 yards or so, but everything outside of that I worry is gonna be basically off limits his first year starting. He’s only gonna be able to stretch the field horizontally when he’s rolling out and you’re actually shrinking it at that point.

I think Yanda is done after this year and there’s no evidence of that but just a feeling. Who knows what will happen but it is just a hunch I have. I don’t think it’ll matter if Joe is gone or not because I think those guys would stick around for Lamar as much as Joe. We’ve seen rookie and young QB take the league by storm so it’s very possible the same happens to Lamar. His work ethic impressed me so I’ll wait and see what happens, but to your point on OL an athletic QB is less reliant on a dominant OL than a statue, so that may help us significantly.
That’s true but we do have Hayden Hurst and Andrews and Crabtree and Snead and maybe we bring back John Brown and who knows what else. Just because it’s bleak right now doesn’t mean that’s the reality. I’m optimistic.
They said the same thing about Tom Brady. Trade up for RB Snell and C Gaillard and get the best player period in the first and you’ve probably given the offense what it needs to excel.

That all stands but between good couple drafts and FA investments, it's possible to turn it around in 2 seasons.
Of course, none of that would matter if SB keeps Harbaugh at the helm.

Considering Biscotti's comments in the State of the Ravens presser, I don't think Harbaugh survives another season if we miss the playoffs this season.

I hope so but I'll believe it when I see it.
I actually think Harbaugh could stick if the team misses playoffs more than most (apparently). But the team has a lot of issues and Harbaugh certainly isn't isolated from most of them.

Of course, we would all LOVE to make the playoffs and our chances could help with wins in the next 3 games, but I just don't see it.
I remember Biscotti saying (and I'm paraphrasing) that he was actually leaning towards letting him go, but ultimately decided not to. To me, that came across as "Harbaugh, you got one more year to turn this ship around or you're done-zo." I also believe if Harbaugh goes, so does Flacco as it's only just. I think this team needs a fresh new voice to start the Lamar era.

Really what the team needs an offensive mind that it hasn't had since Kubiak. The problem with Harbaugh is that he doesn't provide that nor a stabilizing presence on defense. But after Lamar was drafted institutional stability became a selling point to the fanbase. It all comes down to what Bisciotti thinks and he is a human. Honestly, I could see him thinking a fresh start is a good idea just like I could see him justifying staying with Harbaugh because of their long history together/historical success. There are a lot of coaching concerns worth having, such as the flatness that the team comes out with pretty regularly and more than a few questionable decisions. But there are also a lot of issues aside from the coaching. Injuries are always difficult to deal with and a lot of recent high draft picks have made a minimal impact. Im not trying to make excuses for Harbaugh because I obviously think he needs to do a better job, but the lack of success is not 100% on him.
