The Random Thought Thread

I love when people say Joe recently became captain checkdown, but he's always relied on his TEs and RBs in the receiving game heavily.

NGL, would not surprise me of Snyder has a necromancer on hand. How else does he sell out games?
They have a huge fan base that has gotten smaller over the years. They have taken out about 10000 seats and made it standing room like they have in Foxboro and I believe the Jerry’s World has it as well. These are not part of general admission, thus don’t need to be sold out. The same with the yellow seats or club seats. About half of these are sold, if thst and they don’t need to be sold out.

Skins used to have a very long waitlist and it used to take a lifetime to get through until Dan Snyder stopped the passing seasons n tickets down in the generations. I myself was a season ticket holder and it took about 12 yrs to get tickets.

Yup, play action to nobody. It was a good recovery by Jackson.

I actually think he is going to be more aggressive than Ozzie ever was. Its been my theory that he was responsible for the LJ pick, so im with ya

I think the most clearly DeCosta pick is Sieler - the smallest of small school picks - so small that Lance Zierlein literally had no tape on him

Who made the call on Correa? That doesn’t strike me as either a decosta or Ozzie pick

if you remember both correa and kaufusi had the "stars" on them on the board - i.e. a scout has picked them as a notable guy with great character (which bumps them up the board a little) - every scout gets 1 star each and correa and kaufusi both got stars

so id imagine it was the board and the star on the player maybe gave them precedence where they wouldnt have otherwise

that'd be my guess

What a dumb stupid dumb idea, fuck that’s dumb. And stupid.

Sounds like a good way to miss out on a great player because another guy who’s far inferior gives a little more effort.

oh i agree - and interestingly we heard nothing about that process in future years (you'd have to think with how many players we drafted in 2018 that one of them would be an effort sticker guy lol)

i think the fact that we were in our 2nd draft post-rice that maybe we were still looking hard for choir boys (although we still went out and got alex lewis so maybe not...)

I think the Stars are just for a person the scout believes in, not just as a person but as a player too, means two scouts thought correa and kaufusi were something special and put all their eggs in one basket, as it were.

At least this is what im recalling from memory when reading about our draft process a while back
