So apparently the latest rumor is when we announced Harbaugh coming back next year and an extension(Harbaugh's agent was apparently in town this weekend) threw a wrench into a couple teams' plans. Albert Breer reports that the Broncos, Jets and Dolphins all would have pursued him as their next Head Coach.
According to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, Baltimore recently announcing a potential new contract for head coach John Harbaugh "reset the plans of several teams, including the Jets and Broncos." The Miami Dolphins were (are?) also hot on Harbaugh's trail.
Breer echoes a sentiment that Denver — or any interested suitor — won't abandon hope for Harbaugh until he physically signs his contract extension with Baltimore, as the team's Dec. 21 statement reflected he would.

My only response......... GOOD! He's ours Elway, you took Kubiak from us so your not getting John from us. I know the Jets & Dolphins want him mostly because he's the only coach who can match down for down with the Patriots. But you still can't have him.
Even I agree with keeping Harbaugh if that fucked up horceface's and traitor's plans.

The number one worst qb deal of all time.... really?
Yup. The big mistake really was the extension, and the deals to ray rice and pitta and the Eugene Monroe saga. That burned us up of a lot of unused money and some picks as well. It absolutely crushed the team in an era where Flacco’s contract was earned and we would’ve otherwise had money to build around him.Everyone loves to ignore how team friendly that contract was structured and focus instead on overall number and pretend that somehow it kept the Ravens from signing their FAs despite them clearly doing so.
So ridiculous. They didn’t even look into the comtract details if they think that. It wasn’t even until yr 3 that he counted 20m against the cap or more. 2013 it was 13m 2014 it was 14.8mhttps://www.thesportster.com/football/worst-nfl-qb-trades-and-free-agent-signings/20/?v=6&n=f

According to 2013 the total cap hit was 13+ in 2013 and 14.8m+ in 2014. Although 2015 Flacco’s number was missing from the list. He did count 22m in 2016, but thst is when we extended him or was it 2015....can’t rememberWas it year 3 or 4? I thought it was 6m 14m 14m then 28?

Flacco's numbers (original contract): 2013: 6.8m 2014: 14.8m 2015: 14.55M 2016: 28.55M 2017: 31.15m 2018: 24.75mAccording to 2013 the total cap hit was 13+ in 2013 and 14.8m+ in 2014. I do rememwnr a high number, but believe that is when he was extended

After that, draft busts galore.
Post SB ravens were a perfect storm of fuck ups but joe being a qb he gets all the blame.
Thank you. I actually was looking at Suggs contract details in 2013. My eyes naturally went to the top of the page for cap hit .....lolFlacco's numbers (original contract): 2013: 6.8m 2014: 14.8m 2015: 14.55M 2016: 28.55M 2017: 31.15m 2018: 24.75m
the 2016 extension: 22.55M 2017: 24.55 2018: 24.75M
We needed to extend him in 2016 to lower his cap hit otherwise we wouldn't have been able to sign numerous free agents and of course a lot of dead cap limited our leverage. The original contract was only friendly for the first 3 years 2016 and 2017 would have been hell
