The Random Thought Thread

Well folks, this translates to M***y staying. It's okay @Lost_In_Translation , you don't need to rant. This shit was expected.

Harbaugh said the organization is sold on sustainability of the offense. "This is not some fly by night offense. This isn't something somebody just made up in their head. ... I'm excited to see where it goes."
This merely confirms to me that Harbaugh has been the biggest thing holding the team back.

It is a fly by night offense and if we keep him, Skura and Hurst are going to remain starters and Lamar is going to get clobbered even if he remains a good passer.

Let’s hope we can come to a deal with a Denver

Not everyone responds the same, Suggs became an elite run defender without losing a step, ray was undersized to begin with and had to pack on muscle to play in his era, mosley has lost a step and the extra weight he’s carrying may have actually made him more susceptible since his injuries lately have all been lower body.

Also, didn’t ray have his 2nd DPOY season after shedding a bunch of weight before the 03 season? I could be wrong but I thought I recall him losing like 15 some lbs to get faster and more acclimated to playing in the 3-4 and ended up having maybe his best season ever.
When did the Ravens switch to a 3-4 defense. I seem to recall it happening sometime after Marvin Lewis, but I think the next dc also ran the 4-3.

Idk when we switched but 2003 was a 3-4 and I know there was hype about ray being able to win DPOY in both a 43 and a 34

Bozeman has already been taking quite a bit of Hursts snaps and when was the last time you we took Harbaugh at his words. It’s not like we aren’t trying to develop LJ, which we have done a very good job at doing.

I don’t think any coach this offseason will be a long term head coach for any organization. Not one of them.

Actually, someone told the story (I can't remember where I read it) recently that Harbaugh was the one to go to Steve and Ozzie and tell them we're going with Lamar. Not sure that's true but there you go.

Also, he isn't on Denver's radar any longer.

That may have been Romo, but I’m not sure

Was watching sportscenter. Scott van Pelt reported Antonio Brown's knee injury wasn't an injury at all. He got in a fight with Ben on Wednesday, then skipped all practices that week and skipped Saturday's final teem meeting. He showed up Sunday expecting to play and Tomlin decided not to play him. That's very interesting to me for many reasons. SVP asked Ryan Clark about it and RC basically called him a diva from his own experience and said he's at it again. He said Pittsburgh has to shop AB because he's toxic

Happy New Year folks! Let 2019 bring you and yours a lot of happiness and success! May the Ravens continue to bring us untold joy in the new year and beyond.

Im honestly extremely surprised Tomlin held his ground and didn't play AB, even in a super crucial game. Good for him. He still sucks though.

I saw that too. I had thought this was getting overdone by the media trying to stir up some drama but Clark’s comments were a major indictment on AB. I’ll paraphrase here but he stated that he’s not about the win he’s all about his personal stats. Wow. That level of selfishness can’t be tolerated in a team game.

That's been clear for a few years now. Not that they just tolerated a prick but also rewarded him with almost $70M / 4y extension.

He is unusual talent, to say the least but none of those 10s of TDs, 100s of catches and 1000s of yards are worth it. Even in his arguably best year, we convincingly knocked them out in WC round. In Pittsburgh.

What do they have to show for it? Locker room in disarray, HC lying about what happened, players pissed off because coach did not think it's important to address the issue with the team, entire organisation and the whole ketchup field embarrassing themselves rooting hard for the Browns....

Dude I was also extremely surprised! That's the first real authority we've seen him demonstrate right?

I personally don't want anything to do with either of them, but do we think AB and or Fournette where different jerseys next season? Second question, not will they do it, but is there even a thought in harbs/deCostas mind about keeping Joe next season? A Wentz foles kinda situation. I think Joe costs too much for that, but do you think they're considering it? Final prediction. I don't think Joe has played his last non kneeling snap in a ravens uniform. Not because of a Lamar injury.

I knew he was a primadonna for years and knew he rubbed some people in the organization the wrong way but until I heard I teammate (a former one who can therefore speak unfiltered) say some of the things he said I just didn’t understand how deep it was.

Wait a minute, Ab said that. Wow is an understatement
