Seattle had a monster pass rush. So did the Eagles. It’s a combination of both pass rush and secondary play. But secondary over pass rush if we’re taking about actual impact in a game.

Seattle had an average pass rush, nobody would ever pretend the secondary was not head and shoulders the strength of that team.

Denver needed the Pats to be down their entire starting offensive line to be out along with multiple backups (and I think at least 1 3rd stringer as well) just to barely win that game.

Elite corners just shut down the problem to the point where teams can no longer rely on the big-time WR that they relied upon all year. You get a couple of them and suddenly the offense you run dies not work.

Absolutely, the only reason for being against is my own selfish reasons

i want to be able to dream about all those high-end prospects lol
id hate to be have to eliminate basically the first 30 players on my board as worthy of discussion as potential ravens

I have top 10 players on my board going in the second round every year so I’m not too concerned lol

I’d really love to add Henry Ruggs to this squad though, add THAT speed to Hollywood and Lamar and hill, along with the great physicality that Ruggs brings as a runner.. I think he’s gonna skyrocket and go top 20

100% with you

I 3rd these responses

What a drag it would be sitting around for three months talking about who might be there at the end of the second round.
I know I'm being selfish about this but dang, do I love talking draft stuff around here.

Realistically, I would be ok with us having to give a 1 and 3 ( should have a compensatory pick coming our way in the 3rd). I wouldn't be happy about it ruining "my" draft buildup but man....Marlon, Jalen and Jimmy along with Brandon closing out the year? we could go.

pick a team that has draft picks in the forum mock! BTW, I heard you on the podcast this week. Great job

Trading for Jalen is exponentially more exciting than a crapshoot draft lol

im the same - the player's worth it but i also know that it will kill me to envisage our draft with only 2 picks (probably) in the 1st 2 days

While the Ravens have often been overlooked by national media, I can sense they are ready to do some bandwagon jumping - if they haven't already done so. The reason is as simple: Jackson's game is electrifying. If we beat the Chiefs, the wagon will start crumbling under the weight.

It would seem that, while those in the media caution against overreacting after week 1, they seem to have no problem overreacting after week 2. On Golic and Wingo yesterday, their installment of "Book It" started off with the question "The Ravens will win the AFCN". Wingo said "I can't book that fast enough". Only 3 of 4 booked it.

The main reason they gave was "The Steelers are done" and "The Browns, despite having a great roster, haven't gelled".

Personally, I have a hard time pronouncing the Steelers dead, because they just seem to always be resilient. After seeing what Minshew did, I think it is unfair to Rudolph to assume that he is going to be an abject failure. We just don't know what we're going to get.

As for the Browns not gelling ... it is week 3. They undeniably have a very talented roster. To assume they'll spend the rest of the year out of sync seems silly. I still view them as a dangerous team.

Does our outlook appear better today than it did this preseason? Absolutely. But booking a division win right now seems a bit premature.
