Looking ahead....... Let's say we were to get Ramsey tomorrow. Signing him to a long term deal, who does that sacrifice in free agency? By trading for and extending Ramsey, we lose who?
 
The Jags are just trying to drive up the price for Jalen. He’ll get traded soon. They know his stance and it’s better to get something now. Wouldn’t doubt it if they called EDC back tomorrow and negotiated. Kahn can talk out of his ass all he wants but Jalen will be gone this week especially if he sits out practice.

Agreed. I’m not watching the Pats this year. Anyone know what they’re doing on defense that is making them ridiculously good?
 
Watching an old espn clip on youtube. Across the ticker scrolls, Jimmy Smith injured at Giants and did not return... Way to rub it in.

The bigger question to me would be how Marlon handles his contract situation if we did get Ramsey. What would he then be looking for?

Pay him, corner is the marquee defensive position these days imo. I would sacrifice quality at safety and linebacker to sign a group of elite corners

We should pay him. How much? If you see a new guy come in and get a brand new deal making him the top paid, how do you feel when your coaches say you're one of the best, you feel you're one of the best, but you're not being compensated as such?
 
I was really worried about earl when we signed him.. he will probably come along fine but we are really missing guys with that high level iq like suggs and weddle

I don't think its IQ, so much as its rollover. It will be fine, but it will take some time to get him used to the new system. Mosr of the Ravens secondary signings look awful for the first half of the year.

I dnt really see earl being able to disguise our defense the way weddle did. Weddle timing those edge blitzes used to be fun to watch.. like you said that it will probably take some time.. we are also injured so that could be a reason
